It seems that we have all become embroiled in this whirlwind of crisis after crisis. Mostly driven by tabloids and fan channels who need the clicks on their pages, in order to pay the bills. And it has left lots of people at a really low ebb when it comes to all things Manchester United, but I am really looking forward to watching us play Bayern Munich in the Champions League, tonight. And isn't that what it's all about? Playing in the biggest competitions, against the biggest teams. The pinnacle of world football. This is why we are all here. To watch the football.

Yes, we are decimated by injuries, but Ten Hag can still put a decent team out there tonight. Our manager and players are going out to win, and they need our support more than ever. When this team starts winning again, all the noise will go away and people will eventually start talking about football matters again. And not scratching around in the dirt for something to tweet or upload.

And remember this, negative stories get more traction on You tube, talk sport, tabloids and podcasts, than positive ones. And everybody involved gets paid by the traffic that consumes their content. So it is not always a realistic picture that they paint, because they need the drama to survive.

Players at every club have issues, fall outs, allegations, injuries or are unhappy at not being picked. This is normal in large squads of people. The difference is that they are not box office news, nobody really cares if they have any of the above. It doesn't sell the papers. But if our tea lady spills coffee on Harry Maguire's trainers, there's five red tops reporting their take on the incident. There was a story last week about the club shop not having the letter Ø for kids that wanted HØJLUND on their tops. Hardly a crisis, but they read it out on the sports news. It had national coverage! Seriously.

We all need to grow a thick skin and take it all this negativity with a large pinch of salt, because most of this stuff has nothing to do with football.

The Glazers will be gone, and this team will find its way again. Just hang in there reds.

What makes you think once Glazer is gone, the likes of Rashford will start running again, Martial would be happy again, and Sancho would start playing well again? Or probably all of a sudden Antony becomes the next Ronaldo?

I think we are in stasis and have been for over a decade and a true re-build will only start after the Glazers leave. So in many ways, this reintroduction to CL romance is premature because I don't believe we'll make it out of the group. I'd take a season of no-CL football and a mid-table finish if it meant the cretins left.

A change of ownership can have a monumental impact on both the culture and psychology of the players. These changes don't happen overnight but they certainly lift the atmosphere especially if the incumbent owners are genuinely football people with a duty of care towards the club.

Is that a given ?

Do you honestly think they care about the prestige, the badge, and the atmosphere when it's their reputation on the line for being beaten by Brighton, and failed to even touch the ball (Martial) when their own career is on the line?

Nothing, short of a steel hand leadership that's given a cold steel sword to decapitate any insubordination (metaphorically speaking) would do the job. We need to clear the deck from everyone, and I mean everyone who don't follow the manager instruction to a tee.

Now... do fans back these sort of manager? When they kept on applauding the likes of Rashford, McT, and the rest for giving a half feck attitude on the pitch?

Does changing ownership from Glazer to Sheik Jaseem or whomever made the fans more ruthless, or simply succumb to buying the next FOTM?

These 2 should go hand in hand, and not wait till one happen.

Now these bunch of players, will throw ETH under the bus, hoping that the next manager would give them a clean slate, a new contract, another 5 years and by then they'll be having their testimonials.

Fergie biggest achievement wasn't kicking the Scouse out of their perch, but kicking the primadonnas from their nest

Newcastle is a great example. Most do not agree with the Saudi owners, but when Mike Ashley left the whole negative cloud around the club lifted and that changed the players attitude on the pitch.

There's a massive cloud of negativity hanging over Utd and it's all stemming from the ownership. I'd say even the regular club staff show as much indifference towards their day to day jobs as many of the players appear to on the pitch. They often just look like they are waiting for someone else to pick up the slack.

What's the office equivalent of not tracking runners into the box?

It’s difficult to be excited when it’s a challenge to relate to our players. For the most part, they aren’t a very likeable bunch. Maybe that’s due to association with one of our worst periods of late? I don’t know. I just find it difficult to “like” our players - as weird as that sounds.

Glazers couldn't care less. All this drama means that the club is in the news. It isn't affecting the "brand", because the money keeps rolling in. Just look at the new sponsorship deals. Bad news, good news, it doesn't matter to them. It's all clicks and engagement. New owners would rid us of all of this IMO. I agree with the OP's sentiment. Club is one giant chaos bowl and it's being greeted with open arms by the people in charge of the club. It really is a disgusting way to run a business.

You could argue that people starting brand new threads titled "Courting drama and chaos has become endemic" has nothing to do with football and is exactly the sort of negative news that you proclaim to dislike.

How are fan channels driving this whirlwind of chaos?

They are desperate for content on a daily basis, so they scour the gutter press for mostly unsubstantiated stories, and they project them into an hour long broadcast as true facts. Two non stories were shat out yesterday and everyone seemingly ran with them. It is utter garbage that is put out there just so people can flog manscaped products.

The public are being duped by these fraudsters. Statman Dave is probably the only one worth watching because he actually puts the work in to make his own content and not regurgitate gossip. Or bring in guests to regurgitate gossip.

When you have 10 outlets flogging the same horse, it creates a narrative of crisis. Rumours and assumptions become facts, and then there is a race to the bottom which is the point that we have currently reached.

"Things are going from bad to worse at Old Trafford, reports coming in that they don't even have the letter "Ø " in the club shop. What is going on at this club? We might as well throw the towel in now and end the season in Sept. I mean, if we can't get the letter "Ø" how are we going to win football matches??? Now how hairy are your balls, we are offering a discount on all manscaped products...use the product code GULIBLE."

A point I've made on here a lot is that United have never been well run off the pitch. Our post WW2 success has almost all come from two exceptional managers who thrived despite the chaos. Even during the 90s, United fans and even Fergie himself were openly at war with the PLC.

The issue is because we've never been particularly well run off the pitch throughout history, there's not a point you can look back to and say "let's do that again." Our only reference points for success are Busby and Fergie and they're impossible to replicate. Even as fans, we don't really know how we want the club to be run outside the playing side of things.

Far from it. This is pointing a finger at the ridiculous nature of these faux stories and giving some context as to why they exist, and that you should not take them seriously. Especially the younger people who spend a lot of their day consuming this media. Can't actually be good for them.

Absolutely spot on. The social media bellends drive up a frenzy, based on another bellend on Twitter just making shit up for retweets and the attention. Before you know it, the audience reading it have taken it as gospel
