He has to die. But they have to get it right. Getting run over or falling off some scaffolding or something wont be good enough for him. It needs to be gory, slightly comic and highly embarassing.

Something along the lines of Sarah covering him in peanut butter and locking him out of the house naked (think of the storyline they could come up with to bring about that eventuality) before he gets savaged to death by a gang of hungry squirrels.
