Anyone else following? Officially it starts tomorrow but it's press day today. Apparently this year it's raining Android tablets as well as a lot more innovation with mobile devices.

Also a lot more "ecosystem" development for integration of similar branded devices with each other. TV with tablet with PC with phone-type integration.

Always fancied popping to Vegas for the CES. It coincides with the Adult Entertainment show in Vegas so kill to birds with one stone.

The Notion Ink Adam was released today. It looks pretty promising with an intuitive interface. I think I'm going to buy one if the reviews are good.

I think Motorola stole the show here. Awards for best tablet with the Xoom and best smartphone with the Atrix. The Xoom won best in show. Some people are saying that the Xoom is a legitimate challenger to the iPad with a few features that could actually make iPad owners a little jealous rather than just simply being competitive.

The xoom looked really nice and seemed to be the best tablet that I saw.

It's not as good as the Notion Ink Adam. Adam has great specs as well, will be cheaper, will not put you on a contract, and has a very intuitive UI based off Android as well as the default Android system.

Yeah I know how much you like the Notion Ink Adam. Technically no device puts you on a contract if you don't want the subsidy, correct? Not sure if it's a dealbreaker but I think people might prefer two cameras instead of the swivel. Same processor but Motorola's head start on Honeycomb will probably put them at an advantage.

Well I think NI will put out Honeycomb for the Adam as soon as it is released, because Eden is already very compatible with Android 3.

Also, the Pixel Qi screen on the Adam will be the tipping point for many.

As for the camera, NI's is more useful because you can do more with it, e.g. put the tablet flat on a desk and record a lecture while taking notes.

How many people are actually going to get the Pixel Qi screen? Looks like it adds an extra $125. And what about compatibility and docking support?

It's an extra $50 dollars and as for docking support and compatibility, I cannot comment on that because no one has tested it yet. I don't see why it should be a problem though.

I can't find the notion ink anywhere to buy?

Notion Ink: Contact although they sold out on pre-orders in the first day or two. They should them for general sale in the next few weeks though.

Well Wikipedia was wrong about the prices then.

I mean has anybody made docks for it and can it be linked up with compatible devices in an ecosystem (I'm starting to get sick of that term)?
