anyone played it yet?

I'm thinking of getting it (downloading it rather).

Most reviews online sound good, but I am hoping for some user reviews if any of you fellow caftards have played it.
 
Great game. Finally some good old real time strategy legend in the new look.

The story is great, just like in the first Command & Conquer... actors are fine too, especially Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) :drool: playing assistant of Cain in NOD.

The arsenal of weapons is deadly and and there's some good ones like huge magnetic strike or nuclear attack. The graphics are great. So much fire in the chaos of war, burning city and attack of NOD terrorists on Pentagon... it looks really cool.

Still waiting on Starcaft 2 but Tiberium Wars will be still on top when Blizzard will release their megahit.

Good game not only for hardcore RTS players but for begginers, also.
 
I've played it and its quite good.

My only disappointment the command and conquer of lates is why did they get rid of everything naval?

All in all though some good stuff especially with the scrin and they're warships and mothership

Yep mate, the whole Protos race looks very impressive. They always been the most original race in Starcraft. Great tribute to "War Of The Worlds" with that Scrin Tripod thing.

Finally Terrans have nuclear strike which should add more deadly debris to the whole game. On those gameplay vids sometimes it was hard to see anything because of the power of destruction.

Official trailer simply rule when the simple guy is transformed to a soldier that looks like a feckin tank... :devil:

Brilliant stuff.
 
THIS GAME IS THE SHIT! i'm currently at act 2 of the GDI campaign and all I can say is its amazing! :eek: the GDI bird who briefs you with your mission is fit as well :cool:

Its the best of the lot. I can not rate it highly enough. Get it. You won't regret it, I completed it on hardest ages ago but still love it

the Terrans had a nuclear strike even in the first starcraft game mate, you need to buy a silo extension which connects to the command center, then you get a ghost to designate a target with its laser pointer, then the familiar "nuclear launch detected" sounds out then a nuke will hit the enemy

just finished to GDI campaign and to my surprise there were 2 endings :lol:

anyone noticed that?

If you use the Liquid Tiberium Bomb to bomb the Scrin Node in the final mission, 25million people die as a result of the chain reaction, General Granger is disgusted with you in the cutscenes and resigns, then that Boyle bloke will become head of GDI...so that's the "bad" ending

however if you destroy the Scrin Control Node with conventional methods (Mammoths, Ion Cannon strike), you prevent the death of the 25million, General Granger salutes you and calls you a "hero" and that Boyle bloke gets a trial for his warcrimes...its the "good" ending
 
Was going to buy that for the Xbox360 the other day, is it any good? Is it anything like C&C Red Alert 2? That was the last C&C game I played.

get it! its amazing! the average review i see on the net is around 90%...the story is good, the graphics and all are stunning as well...not to mention the birds who brief your mission (both GDI and NOD) are bot fit :cool:

its a bit like RA2, but a lot better

you can download lots of things with torrents like games, movies, music, porn etc

from sites like minonova.org, torrentspy.com, demonoid.com, isohunt.com

all you need is a torrent client like bitcomet or uTorrent and you can download anything already
 
Right, I've downloaded Utorrent - and am trying to download this C&C game, and feck all's happening. It's appearing as an inactive download

What's it all about?
 
one thing to take note about downloading torrents is the seeder and leecher level...seeders are basically those people who distribute the file, leechers those who are downloading the file, so its better if a torrent has lots of seeds compared to those will lesser seeds

try this one http://www.mininova.org/tor/642985, this is what i downloaded, its only 2gb compared to the 7gb of other c&c versions
 
it depends on your internet connection, those with faster internet connections tend to download it faster, took me around 12 hours or so

oh and installation of this is a bit tricky, but it works, ignore the read me there and do this, it works for me :D

1. Download
2. Extract to C:/Games using winrar.
3. Look in the # readme # folder and open the file called Command & Conquer 3 Path-Disc-C.reg
4. extract Windows.rar to C:/WINDOWS and agree to overwriting all files
5. Go to the EA website and get the latest patch, which is 1.8 at the moment. Install that. (ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/eapacific/cnc3/)
4. Go to gamecopyworld.com and find command & conquer. look in the Game Trainers & Cheats section for the v1.08 Patch and download it to your desktop.
5. Extract it and look inside for a file called cnc3game.***. Copy this file to C:\Games\C&C3\RetailExe\1.8 and overwrite the existing file of the same name.
7. Hit C:\Games\C&C3\CNC3.exe to fire up the game!

Depends on your download rate really. And how big the file is.

For me a 3 GB game takes atleast 3 hours, and that's with a game which has loads of seeders and a pretty decent broadband connection.

I've given up downloading from torrents though; way too dodgy, one of my friends got fined for using one p2p software to download music. Ever since then the only illegal thing i do on the net is streams.

Stick with it for a bit of times; it does tend to fluctuate. Sometimes your downloading rate can soar and the game downloaded fast. Look for files with loads of seeders.

Torrentspy and thepiratebay are good sources usually for me.
