It does seem silly. A lot of posts in the football/United forum however are compromised of 'This', 'Plus 1', 'Agreed' etc. Adds nothing so I'm guessing the modmins are trying to cut it out somewhat.

The problem is that people want to express their opinion and have their input make a difference.
If you're not going to allow the likes of plus 1 type posts, then there needs to be a mechanism like voting, or a "Concur" button much like other forums have a "Thanks" feature.
