Did anyone watch this choke fest last night?

Colin Montgomery and Phil Mickelson both carded 6's on the par 4 18th to finish 1 behind Jeff Ogilvy the Aussie.

Monty even holed a 50 feet sideways putt on the 17th to put him an unbelievable position, probably the closest he's ever come to winning a major. :(

Even though he is one of the best European Golfers of modern times (he's Ryder Cup record and the amount of Order of Merits he's won is superb) unless he wins a Major it will always be held against him. Think its 5 2nd place finishes now, 3 in the US Open, 1 in the British Open and 1 in the USPGA and he's in his fourties already.

Pretty poor US Open all around. Very tough course, and it was Mickelson's to lose ... and he did.

I cant believe Mickelson blew it as bad as he did all he had to do was make par...and instead of taking the easy 2nd shot and play it to the fareway he hit the tree...

2 Fairways hit and none on the back 9 ... should have stuck with the Irons.

Montgomery's played 56 opens i think and never won. doesn't look like he will. i was surprised at the way mickelson played though on the last day. for those who're sayin that it was a bad US open you didn't see the hole outs. there were some really outrageous shots. i can't remember any open having as any hole-outs. the final day was pretty disappointing though.

It was the fairways that killed everyone. Some amazing shots out of the rough, but the putting was horribly as well.
