At the end of last season Alex said he wanted to improve the youth setup and coaching - well he's certainly doing that!

RedNews:
It's unconfirmed but a couple of sources have told us of a night of the long knives at Old Trafford in the past few days. Several of the youth team coaches have left the club - some being sacked it appears - one of which leaving is the highly respected Neil Bailey the under 17/19 youth team coach. We have asked the club for a comment on this and await a reply. Word is that Choccy is taking over one role and a Spanish guy was being brought in. Seems changes are being made from top to bottom at coaching level at United.

We've wanted this for a while and it looks to be very decisive and positive for the future of the club - hopefully our current youngsters will be able to maximise their potential, and a new wave of fledglings is on the horizon.

Looks like United are going for the International coaching flare approach. The Dutch guy last year, Quiroz this season and now a Spaniard and/or Brazilian coming in too? Maybe this will enable us to find those bargain 'diamonds in the rough' types that everyone is pining for.

Exactly - and get the most out of our existing talents. Our last wave had a lot to do with Eric Harrison and Brian Kidd - good coaching has a big part to play.

Glad to see that fergie isn't afraid to make some heads roll for the sake of improvement in our coaching set-up
