Why on earth di you lot close the terry threads?

I dunno if the guy is racist or not but is it really necessary to close all threads 'discussing' the matter?
It was fine to talk about whether or not Steven G's missus was a coke head, or speculate on the fact that Joey Barton might be a racist because his brother is :wenger:. Whats the big deal with this?

Surely people can make up there own mind and do realise that there is no actual evidence to show that Terry is in fact a racist.

Are you being leaned on?

Stinks if you ask me...

What is there to discuss exactly?

All you have to go on is a rubbish e-mail someone just made up

This has more to do with the club John Terry plays for, than it does anything remotely substancial

I closed it because there is nothing to discuss. Wild baseless accusations of racism against a public figure are also somewhat risky.

If any evidence whatsoever arises then people can discuss away. Although I would have though the fact that Spurs have officially denied that anything was said will make this unlikley.

I didn't see the instance you talked about but I may well have dealt with them similarly if I had.

The Special One - Jose And His Amazing Technicolour Overcoat:

I close my eyes
And stand there grinning (wo'o ho)
We can't stop winning (wo'o ho)
Youd be grinning too.

When I first came (When he first came)
I was delighted (wo'o ho)
Could've managed United (wo'o ho)
But, any team will do.

I wore my coat (He wears his coat)
The world is merry (wo'o ho)
I've got John Terry (wo'o ho)
And Drogba too. (C'mon Didier)

I switch them round (He switches round)
They all are hating (wo'o ho)
But I like rotating (wo'o ho)
Any team will do.

(C'mon Gaffer)

A corner kick will
Is just enough
A little flick from Damien Duff (C'mon Damien, Drogba)
The ball flies right into the net
And we are 1-0 up. (1-0 up, 1-0 up, 1-0 up, 1-0 up)

May I return (May I return)
To the beginning (wo'o ho)
So easy winning (wo'o ho)
When your team is Blue. (Blue (C'mon) is the colours)

We can't go wrong (We can't go wrong)
I am in heaven (wo'o ho)
Playing whatever eleven (wo'o ho)
Any team will do. (Yeaaahhh)

...

Sorry but if the basis for closing threads was "What is there to discuss exactly?" half the threads on this forum would be closed. Seems a tad harsh.

Told you you should have put me in charge. When will you caftards learn?

I don't really care

I was just commenting on the stupidity of the situation

I don't see how closing a thread on an internet forum can ever really be deemed as being "harsh" on anyone.
Harsh, is accusing someone of being a racist, due to an e-mail some saddo probably just made up

Fair enough, but your lack of consistency is astounding.... lets make this a rule then, no topics about unsubstantiated rumours.

Cue the closure of the Transfer Forum.

I prefer "No unsubstantiated rumours that could result in legal action".

We hope we aren't responsible for the crap people talk but you can't be too careful.

Paper View: England 'race crisis'
By Andy Hooper
Last Updated: 11:54am GMT 14/11/2006

"It is understood the football fraternity is aware and shocked at the alleged incident... all the players involved are believed to be keen to see the matter kept under wraps."

McClaren: off-field concerns
The Daily Express, following a story yesterday from The Voice newspaper, reports that Steve McClaren is facing an off-the-field crisis after one of his players was accused of making a "deeply disparaging racial remark" toward a fellow England player.

For legal reasons the players concerned cannot be named but it is understood the incident is alleged to have taken place during a top-flight match in London. And, as the Express says, "such is the seriousness of the accusation that it threatens to eclipse all the other issues McClaren has had to endure in such a short space of time as England boss".

And quite funny, if it's a Chelsea player. Let's not forget that.

So what about Stevie G's cokehead, bouncer banging, cheating missus... Is that off limits an'all? (thats and all not anal)

She's not off limits. In fact, she's yours if you give her breakfast in the morning.

Probably should be unless it is repeating already printed rumours.

And the stuff copy and pasted by Baloonless is irrelevant since no names are mentioned. If people could be as careful on here there wouldn't be a problem.
