Claudio "Louse" López, from Lazio.

It's the last rumour. Lazio is near in bankruptcy. Every player must sign a new deal, reducing their income about 45%, or leave. It might be not very expensive.

I've watched him playing a lot of times. He's terrifically fast and smart, and he can exploit holes in defence near as well as Raul, although he is not as headstrong leader as Real's player is.

He could be very complementary to Ruud. I don't know english premier league well enough to evaluate his chances there, but in Champions Leaue would be one of your best possible choices.

Sorry, I'm not to happy after being dragged out by the missus to watch the procession tonight. And now she's got it on La 2.

Lopez is a player ive admirred for a while, he's fast, a REALLY good shot on him and he's pretty all-round. Yes he would fit alongside ruud quite nicely, but i still think we yurn (sp) for a player of Ronaldinho's stature. Someone with lots of tricks but good vision and takes people on. Lopez does these but not to the extent that Ronnie would.

I have the intuition that Ronaldinho may be a risky choice. I can't explain why, but I think that he's a difficult boy to get on with, just like Anelka, who, when was in Real, was about to make losing the temper even to a very patient man like Vicente del Bosque.

Take a look at Real: they use to get elder, but checked, reliable, experienced (and expensive) players. The rest of the team, there are always good young people from your own house.

Then, what's a louse? That's the word that dictionary offered.

I don´t like using dictionary, I prefer using my own expressions, but I didn't dare to write "Claudio-bug in the head- López"

You were correct, but:

Louse is a general word. Like Wood-Louse, which lives in dead wood.

The common word for a Head-Louse is Nit. ;)

Do what i use to do when I'm getting bored in a procession: stand near the incense burner. The spanish liturgic incense is quite different to asian incense, and it can get you really stoned. I'm not joking. <img src="graemlins/angel.gif" border="0" alt="[Angel]" />

There was a lot of talk about Lopez when he was at Valencia, what happened him that it's only now that he's hitting the headlines again for Lazio...injury or loss of form ??

Italian way of football can spoil even the best players.

we should only buy him if he cost less than 3-5m..
coz i think he's approaching 30 soon..
but he's a very good player though..can also play in left wing..

Lopez's nickname is "Piojo" meaning "the flea" as opposed to "the louse" or "the nit". Eitherway they are all really shite nicknames. Certainly not up to Phil "the Enforcer" Neville or Neil Webb nickname "the shit" standards!

If he was younger, he'd be a good buy, but not now, because he might take a year or two to adapt to English football, which is a luxery United can't afford.

A flea is a "pulga", Piojo means "Nit", "Head louse".
