Feels like such a key moment in the season. I know it's a massive ask to win all 3, but if we did what kind of mood would be around the club at that point?

We'll be talked up as genuine title contenders if we pick up 9 points, we've been progressing relatively under the radar so far this season and the pressure has been off. That said, I don't think we'll win all 3.

We obviously should be aiming for 9pts, but I would take 6 points from that run of games.

I believe we'll get 9 points from those games. After that we'll have to keep up the tempo.

6 points would be fantastic.

Realistically there is no chance of winning all 3, as nice as it is to finally see some optimism

Win all three and we’re favourites for the league at the mid way point of the season.

5 points or over and I'll be delighted. Realistically, one of City or Arsenal will probably beat us. I'm also slightly concerned about that Palace game, easy to drop points given the schedule.

Injuries are key. Keeping Case, Rashford and Shaw fit and fresh is vital. If we start getting big injuries we're done. Oh, and having big Weggers on the bench by Palace would be so useful.

Assuming everyone wins their games it would put you a point behind City and 6 behind Arsenal. That's a good position to be in during a title race.

We’ll be seen as no nonsense title contenders who have been quietly getting the job done.

Just in time for Arsenals post Christmas collapse as they bottle under pressure.

Still feel City have another gear yet though.

No we're not, and nor should we be.

Win all 3 games and we could still be in third, a point behind City and 6 points behind Arsenal.

I do think if we win all 3, we can be talked about as actual challengers for the first time in a decade though.

More importantly we’d be done with City/Arsenal home and away at the 20 game mark while those two would be yet to face each other.

At least 6 behind Arsenal who have a game in between v Spurs.
The different between us would basically be the first two games we had under Ten Hag as he came to grips with United. We wouldn’t have that in the second half of the season.
We would be one of the most in form teams in world football if we win these three games, it’s ok to say that. It doesn’t mean somebody isn’t level headed, it’s just calling it for what it is.

edit unless Arsenal have a game midweek than three wins takes us to within 3 points of Arsenal.

The fact that people are even talking about 9/9 points shows how far we've come. I don't think we'll win all 3 however its nice to see some positivity and optimism amongst the fans again.

9 points would be amazing, but I'd also be happy with 5 or 7. One game at a time. If we do win all 3, we are definitely in the title race.

7 points from 9 would be decent and put us right in the mix for the title. Imagine if we beat city and arsenal but drop points to palace  That’s what footballs like sometimes though.

Not gonna happen. Expecting us to get 3 points from the 3 games. The important thing is that Tottenham who is just below us don’t get more than that as well. They gave a similar schedule to us

I guess we will get 4 points out of 9 only. Top 4 is a realistic target, but we are not yet title contender

Extremely difficult to win them all. I would say that for any team, in any run of form as well. The old adage of one game at a time. As close to full strength as possible for all three, but I'm sure we will have to see changes. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't play the exact same XI for any of the games for one reason or another.

However, these are the fixtures of our opponents in that period:

Man City

14/01 - Man Utd (A)
19/01 - Spurs (H)
22/01 - Wolves (H)
27/01 - Arsenal (H) [FA Cup]

Arsenal

15/01 - Spurs (A)
22/01 - Man Utd (H)
27/01 - Man City (A) [FA Cup]

It's not like they aren't in somewhat similar positions, and at least we have Reading at home in the FA Cup to rest players after this silly week. Arsenal does have a week to prepare after their game against Spurs tomorrow. Let's see what we can get from City & Palace first.

I'd be amiss not to mention Palace as well. They face Chelsea away on Sunday afternoon so have a day less than us. They also have Newcastle at Home after they play us. Dare I say they'd fancy the points against those teams right now compared to us? Who knows? :)

How many more of these: next 3/6/8 games/next 6 weeks/next 2 months threads do we need?
