My eldest stepson is a City fan, my youngest is a United fan as I got to him early enough to influence him. I've taken youngest stepson to a few United games and the eldest is starting to feel a bit left out. I've said I'd try and get two tickets for him and his mum to go to a City match soon, a weekday match ideally best (possibly Watford in the Carabao cup as I can see there being a few spares for that one), but a premier league game on a weekend against a lower level club also doable.

What's the ticketing situation like for you lot? Is it like crawling over broken glass like it is at OT where you need a membership to get forwarded tickets or do they have physical tickets still? Do you need to have a membership if they go on general sale for whatever reason?

It's the emptyhad, just walk straight to the cashier at any game and ask for two tickets.

You’ll probably be able to buy an entire row to yourself at the ticket office on the day of the game.

They give them away for about a fiver to try fill the stadium don't they?

If you go down to the Etihad you buy one you get one free

Off point but I was told that some bars in town give 2 pints free if you are going to the Etihad on match day.

Who knows, walk up to the Etihad stadium in a random blue T and they might just pay you to come in!

From having a quick look at the site, I think there are tickets available, but you have to pay to become a registered member. Shouldn't be a hassle getting tickets I'd say, the school I'm teaching in took two bus loads of kids to their PSG Champion's League match a couple of years back for context.

Yeah I don't really fancy stumping up £55 before I even start. I'm hoping they'll go on general sale.

Two mates of mine have gotten tickets to City vs Arsenal 2 years in a row by walking up to the ticket office on the day of the game to get in the home end. It doesn’t seem particularly difficult based on that anecdote.

probably best you don’t go with him. i know someone who used to be a massive red, who took his city loving grandson to watch them play and he absolutely fell in love with what they were doing there as a club. he’s since started to support them and won’t ever talk about the time he used to be red through and through.

I don't think they're on sale for Watford through the official site but you could probably get one for the Forest midweek game in early December there.
Theres no midweek games scheduled between Watford and that one (till the CL stuff gets added).

About 10 years ago I was in Sheffield and they had a gig on at the students union. They were selling tickets at the ticket office for £15 for students to go and watch Man City v Bayern Munich.
