Haven't seen enough of this guy to really comment, but let us be wary of paying big money for a pacy goalscorer from not a particulary difficult league- think Forlan (suppose the french league is probaly more competetive than the Argentian, but you get my point)
he's got awesome potential, and he rarely scores 'normal' goals,... even Platini has sang his praises.. he'll be up there, but needs to play at the top level.. United would we foolish not to sign him... who knows we may even get him for a good price, considering that transfer fees have come down..

Cisse to the dippers and Mexes to Highbury, that would be a sickener.
If Cisse goes elsewhere, we should consider going for Sidney Gouvou of Lyon.
I think Cisse could be a Man Utd hit, quick, strong, decent shot, power and dribbling skills.
I think he could dominate in England like Henry, Owen and to a lesser extent Wiltord.
Fergie should should def jump in with a bid if we can get him for a resonable fee without the Man Utd tax. If we dont he could come back to haunt us. On that point we should get him and Mexes in a package deal.

I've no doubt that you need a striker more than we do..but this doesn't mean you'll get the much coveted Cisse...
If we got him we would be top heavy in the striker department..but then again if GH rates him as much as he appears to he may be willing to grab him anyway..in fact, after the long discussions in the summer it wouldn't surprise me if some sort of deal has already been outlined..
You'll probably spend about 40m on one proven striker and make no other summer signings..someone like Vassell or Phillips...or some rubbish South American..
