He said he prefered Liverpool a couple of months ago. It meant nothing to me at that point, nor does his interest in the Arse, since he's obviously just naturally gravitating toward French managers, as would be expected by a young french player who is about to move abroad for the first time. Screw em both and get Defoe. Cheaper and I think Defoe will eclipse most strikers out there right now. Prolific scorer, lightning pace, really great skill.
Di Canio in Jan wud probably rule out Defoe...I hope we dont get Di Canio or Ronaldinho, we need an ALTERNATIVE to Ruud, not a partner. That way when Ruud is out we can still be a force.

Ronaldinho with both systems. His dribblling and passing range would just make too many pices fir Ruud, Schoels and co to pickup while scoring a good number himself
