The Scoucer has 5 strikers at their rank currently ... with Litmanen gonna leave very likely latest end of this season ... they will still be left with 4 .. and next season they will have the arrival of French youngster - Pongolle ...so that will be 5 and it swelled !!
So ... does that mean Cisse is forgotten? ... will him bound to OT next term ? ... mmmm .. and interesting stuff to think of ... will very much depends on whether we have a 4th striker comes in this season IMO ...
Cisse a possible option, but I think Fergie will buy 1 more "cheap" striker for this season.
I would have thought we had learnt our lesson effectively playing with 3 strikers last season and the Di Cannio debacle to not be forward thinking this time round.
Like I said B4, unless Fergie is thinking of going with 451, then 3 strikers is good enough. Otherwise, injury to one or two in a 442 formation is scary to think about.
We've got enough options up front. I wouldnt mind seeing Veron in the whole behind RVN. It would absolve him of (as many) defensive duties and let him concentrate on opening teams up.
