How come this forum doesn't have any charity work going on? Most other big internet forums have got hospital appeals and such like. All you have to do is get members to donate man utd stuff to an auction eg- signed shirts, autobiographies, novelty souvenirs. And get a couple of tickets up in a raffle so that forum members can buy them. I bet mufc would be more than happy to donate stuff as redcafe.net is very well known. Be a laugh as well.

Do you want to organise it then?
'cos I'm only a fecking newbie. There are people who spend loads more time than I do on this forum and have got good mates on here. Why don't they do something? It's hardly the most miserable pastime is it-liasing with MUFC and checking out people's utd stuff? To get the show on the road some of the big boys like yourself spinoza need to have a chat.
I'll happily donate stuff and buy stuff at over-the-odds rates.

Thats all very well and good, But I know if I had a signed shirt I wouldn't part with it. And getting a couple of tickets up for nothing? United don't even give any of the branches from around the uk a free ticket let alone giving it us. Were not registered as a charity either so they will even more reluctently not give us tickets.

Nice idea unfortunatly its not going to happen.

Yeah but players will sign stuff for free. They do it all the time. A raffle for a set of match tickets to a big game next year would be ok. Loads of people would buy a raffle ticket and the person who has given them up can get their money back if they want. How many people use this forum? Loads I bet and half of them are newbie cnuts like myself and newbies just want attention hence the number of daft threads and childish messages. I reckon loads of members would see buying raffle tickets as a good way of establishing themselves in the cafe.

He's right - he is a cnut.

Unfortuntly my friend regardless of your grand idea. Its not going to happen.

Players signing Shirts, I think your forgetting you have to buy the shirt first (or whatever you want signing), assuming its a shirt you want signing, thats about 40 quid out of pocket in its self, then you have to get to Old Trafford/Carrington to actually get them to sign it which doesn't come cheap.

A raffle for a set of match tickets, great idea, unfortunatly you have to buy the tickets, the most expensive I believe is 26 or 28 quid each and the cheapest being twent, so call it roughly 23 quid a ticket, so if you have a spare 50 - 100 quid please do go out and apply for them and start this raffle idea of yours.

Im not against Charity, its just that it wont work on here despite having over 7000 members

There aren't 7000 active members by a long way.

Well if you feel strongly enough about it it shouldn't matter whether you're a newbie or not should it?

I'm not willing to expend time to run this, but I'll help out however I can.

Whcih part of my sentance said they were all active....

Which part of my post explicitly said I was talking to you?

weRutd&werule doesn't know that not all 7K members post does he? I was clarifying.

Sorry to step on your toes.

Yeah but I haven't got any respect from fellow members. If it is going to work then one of you lads is going to have to take a lead role. I had another idea: email round some shops selling man utd merchandise and ask them to donate some stuff eg- t-shirtsunited.com. Tell them they'll get good publicity (and they will) on the 7000 strong(I know I know) forum. There's bound to be other shops who will help. To do this I'll need an email address with @redcafe.net at least.

 What makes you think that anyone on this forum respects anyone else?

Seriously though, I think it's a good idea, and if you want to run it I'll do what I can. PM Niall - see what he thinks.

Apparently he knows RoD ;)

You'll have to talk to Niall about getting an '@redcafe.net' e-mail address, don't give up your day job though ;)

What do you want repsect for? Read some of your posts on here and you might get an idea as to why "nobody respects you"

No, but Jesus works in Tescos.

I would have thought he'd work somewhere a bit more upmarket - Sainsburys at least.

I got a signed football for my headteacher when he reitred (yes, I was a buttkisser). Signed by loads of players, inc Fergie, Becks, Keane, Solskjaer, Giggs etc.

I was 'in the know' though :smirk:

Jesus, like a kid in a sweet shop ;).

I liked the one we had last year, just a single santa, nice hat, not doing anything flash. None of this bouncy stuff.

The second one is like a Christmas :wenger:
