I'm surprised no one has picked up on this yet, but planetfootball.com and sky sports news, have been running a story - the basic nature of the story being, that Doni has gone on record and said that he is on his way to us and that negoitiations are at an advanced stage?????

Excellent player, had a blinding season with atalanta in serie A last yr. didn't really show his array of talent in the world cup though - but why would we be interested in another yes another midfield player - would cost around £12.5m - perhaps he can play up front? (i'm not sure enlighten me pls.) If this is truie which is highly debatable, is this the end for Juan Sebastien Veron? Do we even want Doni?

Must say though, all the talking is coming from him and his agent! Will be interesting to see if Kenyon publishes a statement today, denying his claims, as he usually does in these situations. Comments pls!

A 29 yr old at that.

More bollox if you ask me.

Jeez, just how much bollox is floating about at the minute. It's beyond a fecking joke now.

Both the player and his agent are on record as saying negotiations are at an advanced stage. Just like both Ayala and his agent say negotiations are at an advanced stage. I don't believe any of them. It is just convenient to say Manchester United are interested. Big name etc.

Kenyon did go on record that Utd were not interested in spending huge money on players over 28, so why go for Doni...

I still think 3 million for Di Canio last season was an acceptable risk.... :(

That's Thuram out of the running.

One down, several dozen to go.
