Again, couldn't find a thread on a specific good comedian

Not so much a travesty as not having a thread on Stewart Lee, but surprising nonetheless.

Going to see his show tonight at The Lowry, though I have absolutely no other information on it as my girlfriend bought the tickets. I think she fancies him.

He's a client of my firm, he was in the office week before last, didn't meet him myself but a nice chap apparently, I think the partner who looks after his affairs is going to see him soon, dunno if that's tonight though.

Ah that's quality! Yeah, he seems like a lovely chap and all, quite a good stand-up too.

You should have gone along as well. Let me know what he/she thought of the gig.

Yea I will do mate, like I say though I'm not sure if it's tonight she's going, I just know she mentioned she was going to go along to one of his gigs. It was a few days before he presented Have I Got News For You that he came in because I remember intending to watch it and then totally forgetting

He's brilliant in the Thick Of It. Not so good in the sitcom set in the lab.

About 20 years older than he looks. Don't think much of him bar his role in The Thick Of It to be honest.

His stand up is great - really enjoyed it.

Bit of a change from Stewart Lee a few weeks ago, but a welcome one.

And yeah decorative eid, he's fecking 39. Very nearly twice my age, and I've got more wrinkles than him.

If you don't think particularly highly of him, then I wouldn't really recommend paying £18 per head to go and see him, though I wouldn't say he was an acquired taste as such. A refreshing blend of comedy - not mocking the weak, not complaining about the performance of his electrical appliances, not as deep thinking as some, altogether some good, honest feel-good comedy.

I wondered why he kept making passing pop-culture references that I didn't understand at first, I would've put money on him being under 28 :nervous:

Really fun night.

Good to see you enjoyed it Alwyn, he's pretty decent on Mock the Week as well.

By the way Phelans.. is that from Phineas and Ferb?

Saw him in ealing about year and half ago. Very small gig and he got heckled by some guy who looked like paddy out of shameless. He gave some back and 'paddy' looked like he was gonna rip his head off for the rest of the eve. I feared for him.

I've now moved to didsbury so guess i'm stalking him in reverse.
