Be a long while before we see him, I suspect. Which probably means this will be by far the most active performance thread in the history of the board, then he'll start getting games and nobody will post anything here at all.

The Mason Mount rule.

Any see him playing senior football this season?

Maybe he’s 17 in November but looks 20 with his frame can probably be introduced in carabo or Europa league squad from the bench in 2025.

He will play under 18, youth cup, UEFA under 19 CL and PL U21 mostly but I can see him getting his debut next year.

United under 19 in the youth CL could be interesting if they get through first two qualifying rounds.

Yeah, Amorim isn't going to make a 16 year old a major part of his plans for the foreseeable future.

He reminds me of a Ruud. A finisher.

Not sure how he would play in an amoruin scheme where the striker has to press, run channels constantly etc.

It's odd to make a prediction on a football forum about a footballer? Okay then.
It's odd to suggest that a 16 year old academy player is going to make himself a mainstay in the team before a player who is already a starter.

He reminds me of John Carew. The way he moves and his physique in general. Hope he turns out to be more of a Ruud though.

Because he would be the first 16 year old footballer who has usurped a first team regular who can't trap a ball or hit a barn door

Hojlund can't hit a barn door? That's a load of BS. I agree somewhat that he needs to be better at hold-up, but he's not bad at it either.

It would be funny if he was on the bench for first team games and looked decent in cameos later in the season. The gooners would be seething considering how badly they need a striker and had him not too long ago.

Would be Andy Cole all over again.

'Can't hit a barn door' isn't really backed up by the stats. He can hold the ball up better though.

Assuming you mean Hojlund, there's nothing wrong with his finishing but I agree with him trapping a ball and his other downfall is movement in the box, or lack of.

You’re going to have to explain that one.

Gooner academy striker leaves Arsenal and goes onto to become a star elsewhere.

In Cole’s case, the lamentation for the gooner perspective is that he was sold and they kept the inconsistent Kevin Campbell, and missed the boat on having Andy Cole and Ian Wright as a front two.

That’s gas. I had no idea he came from the Arsenal academy!

A lot of noise around him being promoted along with the lack of goal scoring currently
Still got a lot of development in his game to go. Yes he scores goals, but so did Charlie McNeil at this level. I doubt we will see him get in on a first team pitch this season
