I remember seeing this rumoured about a month ago

He was in our youth set up then went to city... must have something lined up if hes not signed with them given how highly he is rated?

Apparently he's not signed due to not enough gametime for the u18s. It sounds like we were in talks with City about a compensation package for him but it's at a deadlock as it stands, I'm sure this will be sorted sooner or later (whether it's him coming to United or going elsewhere) as u18s have started training again.

I think now his contract has expired that wouldnt be neccessary as a tribunal could / would set the fee? (ala gomes)

I'm not 100% sure on how it would work now, it's just what it says in the DM article. Maybe City were demanding too much in bonuses etc so we've left it to go to tribunal.
