Should be great fun... i like england..nice place to play cricket, except when the rains come... our first games against kenya, should be a nice game to boost our confidence.

Note: All indians,pakistanis,aussies etc post HERE. :D

Not quite right....IMO the best place to play cricket is India.Not that I'm biased or anything..;)In England the sight of those 'Indians' cheering the team doesnt quite appeal to me.

And I'm not really sure about the game against Kenya being a confidence booster..they DID reach the semi finals of the WC.Not really a flash in the pan.They're a good bunch of cricketers, and amazing fielders.

My money is on a Pak-Aus final(i.e. if they don't have a meeting earlier) and Pakistan pulling it off.

i dont think pakistan have a chance. might make it to the semis but wont win the thing.
Must say...the english dont care much abt cricket do they...? their stadiums seem to be packed with indians whenever we play them...its like a home game. :D

Not much interest here about the Champions trophy is there.

Matches so far have been dull, mainly because they've all been one powerhouse vs one minnow, ridiculously one-sided, with uninterested crowds (if they are large enough to merit being called 'crowds'

Also, to those watching in India, what do you think of SetMax's coverage? I find it quite apalling actually, dont like Mandira Bedi at all, and Charu Sharma gets on my nerves. Much prefer ESPN Star.

Yes, unfortunately the great ICC has gotten it wrong again.Ehsaan Mani is dipwad....

ESPN-Star is definitely much more professional and their expert opinions are usually excellent.I'm praying for them to get the higher bid for the India matches.

Exactly...ICC are trying to get more countries into cricket.. but whats the point...IMO the standard of cricket the world over has gone down tramedeously over the last 2 years. Teams like South Africa,West indies,Pakistan,Zimbabwe and even New zealand have been very average over the last couple of years... Except the India Australia rivalry there havent been many great battles over the years.. except the india tour of pakistan. This tournament is just ridiculous..its like a practice match for all the big teams but just ruins the fun of the tournament...

And yup... i dont like the set max coverage at all... Charu Sharma is an idiot..
Mandiras ok, but on the whole its nothing compared to EspnStar, whov built a really good environement with harsha,boycott,sunny,ravi etc... similar to the football team of john dykes and company.
 
IMO the champions trophy sholuld only include TOP6 teams

Set Max covergare is so poor, I hate the sight of mandira and charu sharma.
fecking idiots, and its getting worse , even ESPN STAR are trying to copy a little, they have started with that shaz n waz stuff, nurse with picth doctor crap.
Its a feckin circus out there.
 
Doesnt look like we'll be seeing ESPN star covering Indian cricket for quite a while now. Looks like Zee is on the verge of bagging the rights. And with all the supposed 'experts' already tied up by other channels I wonder who they're going to get. Kris Srikanth? Venkatesh Prasad? Or god forbid, Navjot Singh Sidhu? and of course there's also gotta be a hot scantily-clothed chick in there, whether she knows the first thing about cricket is immaterial.

The coverage on setmax has been shambolic. Charu Sharma is just one of those people who, everytime you see them, you feel like punching their nose in. Like Dennis Wise.
 
Sidhu is a fecking joker, watch his programme on NDTV , doesnt even talks about cricket anymore, just keep yapping some long english phrases, cnut.
