CB the most sort after position this summer

Football bubble has bursted .. the financial side of it I mean. I don't think there will be another astronomical $ transfer this summer for star strikers nor play-makers ..

Central-Back on the hand - will be the MOST sort after position come this summer. Too many top clubs have got problem at this position ... all the CB must be laughing quietly of late ;)

Which clubs need them? ARS, the Scoucers, and REAL for a few !! :eek:

REAL for sure IMO, played their best CB pairing but keep losing lately ... Which is good news - I don't think they will ever have time & $ to think abt Becks now ... They will definitely sort out their CB and defensive MID position 'cos that're exactly where they have been seriously expose at Juv. this morning. ARS and LVP .. .well, needless to explain further - FRENCH managers are the same .. what can I say <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

OK ... who are avail. and hot ??!

I have this sleek filling Stam will join REAL this summer :mad: .. hate to see it but I think it's of geniue possibility, with Stam refusing the compromise with the pathetic situation in Lazio currently.

Others who are hot IMO include :

- Mexes
- Bousong
- for u to add .. :)

Something to note - anyone "utility" enough to be able to play CB and deputise other positions should have a better chance for big $ move .. under current financial situation.

MAN UTD is in a much position than many others in this area IMO.

If Ayala is a free agent, I hope SAF signs him. He and Ferdinand would be awesome, with O'Shea at RB while Gazza is recovering. Wow. Sign Mexes too so that in 2-3 years, he'll step in for Ayala. By that time, Keane will retire and O'Shea takes over DM/CM duties.
 
United need a centre-back with experience, leadership qualities in the 28-30 yrs old bracket. The future is covered with Rio, Wes, Mikael & JOS we need a relatively short-term investment to cover Wes' injury. Someone like Thuram. Remember Steve Bruce was 27 when he signed for us

Oh ya ? then I think he will be another hot property out there ... I wonder if SAF will sign him though ... Kenyon said we are going ENGLISH when Rio signed ... but since our defence obviously show lack of top-level experience, things could change yes .. . We might just have both the Argentina captain in our team then ;)

With this recent injury to Wes, its likely we now go for a CB. I appreciate the idea of bringing in some experience, especially with Blanc going, but if it turns out that Mexes is available for 4mil then he would be hard to pass up.

this guy have everything..good tackler..experience..check out his opta stats..

i think SAF will consider him since he showed some interest on him since last few seasons..

FREE ... that's something really attractive !!
Either us or REAL I think ... Stam won't want to be back to England so I hope someone out there will sign him ... I still like this guy a lot .. it's not his fault that Lazio become what they are today ... I hope Stam could still prove his worth in some good team ... but I don't like us meeting him again ;)
 
We should look at Lucio or Nowotny. Leverkusen is close to relegation and i suppose they need some money so I think they value Lucio at 8-10 million.
