Bitten by an adder as a baby, the adder died.
I'm just going to put this out there, does anyone agree with me when I say that posters should stop quoting websites of this ilk? They constantly spout utter bullshit and as a consequence clog up the forum with ludicrous rumours that aren't even worth debating. I realise that the rest of the press aren't that reliable when it comes to transfer ins and outs but compared to Goal.com and it's contemporaries they're the gospel truth.

Regulation of the transfer forum is ultimately pointless.

The nonsense keeps it ticking over. Its the nature of the beast. Let it roar, its funny!

I literally read this, smiled, then moved on but suddenly burst out laughing.

The transfer forum is just a mess, but trying to tidy it up would be ineffective. full of spastics.

Why are you so bothered? Why not just ignore the things on here you don't like?

Besides, some of the reports on webistes are no more ludicrous tha some of the crap spouted by people in all the other forums. Freedom of speech - kind of the point of the internet.

Julian Assange, is that you? That's all well and good but our transfer forum is a joke. I'd rather have less information from more dependable sources, maybe that's just me.

Transfer speculation is, for the most part, bullshit. You want to get rid of some bullshit, because it is more bullshit than other, more "respected" bullshit?

Transfer Forum - "The place for all transfer spaculation and discussion"

Stop getting your knickers in a twist. The stories that are obviously completely fabricated are not taken seriously by the vast majority of people on this forum, so it doesn't really matter.

If you banned that type of thing from this part of the forum, they'd only end up cropping up somewhere else.

Who are these 'spastics' that apparently fill, but hover only in the transfer forum? I love the way that one always gets bandied around, yet most look at it and therefore... No, I won't say it. It might spoil things.

Pretty much every source is bull shit. They just write it to make money and cover up their pages. You can't rely on any of them. The transfer forum is full of speculation. Does that mean we should close that forum?

I agree. The BBC have made right cnuts out of themselves by quoting caughtoffside.

agrred. i've been thinking about this for a while.

I agree, but FootballRumours.com should be allowed as they usually pretty accurate.

Like who? Tabloid Journos are no more reliable than anyone else. You can only know if and when a transfer is going ahead when its announced on sky sports.

I take everything I read on here with a pinch of salt - it is the nature of the internet, much more crap than anything else.

IMScouting should be closed down after that pathetic rumour linking Kenny Miller with AC Milan.

Seriously can you make up rumours any worse

Thing is, of course, some websites just bring up material that was published in the newspapers. Many times we'd laugh at a website for a piece of 'news' when in fact it's from one of the newspapers, which we just didn't happen to notice.

So unless we ban newspapers, I don't see the point of doing this with websites.

So which one of you muppets posted the below on football rumours??

Manchester United Rumours
I work in the red cafe at OT and we got told that KAKA's people were at OT today, didn't say KAKA was himself like previous post said but def his people were. My boss has lunch with other bosses from other departments and that was what he was told this dinner. Plus they all reckon the Qatar stories are not just rumours as between Christmas & New Year lots of meetings going on at OT with directors and gill etc so something is going on. And they had to lay special stuff on for VIP's. That is as much as I know.

Anon. for obvious reasons.

Im a leading member of the uff in northern ireland, whilst i was at a uda training camp this morning i heard that Jackie Mcdonald (also a leading loyalist in the uda) is signing for manchester city for a fee of around £25 million. Roberto Mancini says he is the perfect replacement for carlos tevez who is now available for a free transfer to Dagenham & Redbridge. I also heard that Edin Dzeko had a suprising change of mind and has now chosen to join Celtic despite passing a medical at Man City. Therefore he is a dead man walking. UDA out.
You mean as accurate as this!
