Last summer, the PL splashed £1Billy on transfers.

United were the most lavish with £155m / £120m net.

How much do you expect to see spent this summer? Biggest spenders?

I can see a solid 20% increase on the back of the new TV deal.

Gross:

United - £180m
City - £100m
Arsenal - £60M
Chelsea - £60M

On a side note; what is the max net spend that Chelsea and City could do under FFP?

Reckon Liverpool might have another ~£100m splurge.

Chelsea will spend £70m but somehow manage to sell Cuadrado, Mikel and Remy for £100m.

I can see them getting £50mil for Sterling from City and spending around that figure.

Oscar and Ramires will probably recoup them £50-60m.

Chelsea can easily afford to spend £130m in this summer's transfer market

Chelsea could actually lose £20m this season and be perfectly fine with regards to FFP.

I don't know what's worse. The obsession with big spending in football or the fact someone has decided "Billy" is a good shorthand for billion.
