there's no doubt that we're missing keano at the middle of the park but i think beckham is doing a fantastic job as the stand-in captain.

apart fom the bolton match error & the incident at elland road,he's playign well. He's working hard & tirelessly ,running all over the pitch & the only thing missing is his regular free kicks goals.

so can beckham captain United once Keane has retired or is there any other player in the current squad who's a better leader than beckham?

I beg to differ, I do not think Beckham has played well at all this season. I agree that he is working tirelessly, but all too often his passing is not of the quality we have come to expect. I thinh the biggest component fron Keanos armoury that we have been missing, is his ability to drive the team on, an attribute that Beckham for all his ability will nevr have in equal measure.

of course he can be a better captain, but he should shout and tell teammates what to do, he has changed his behaviour after the tragic 98 world cup, and btw, he's not a lazy player, he's always trying to steal the ball from enemies

Sadly I think that Beckham has been woefull as captain and his game hasn't been much better of late. I thought he would really handle this chance well, but I'm afraid the oppositeis true.
Can't wait for Keanos return
