Captain America's in Manchester!

Isn't it over now? Not been into the city centre for a few weeks, but I thought all of the filming was finished.

Last time I went for a look, it looked like this:

Bugger. I thought they'd be filming for a couple of more weeks. I was planning to check it out next week!

I was going to go back often but our second child was born at exactly the wrong moment (as far as this is concerned!) and a few weeks early, so instead of going down with my lad and taking some photos, we were going to St Mary's hospital instead.

I just had a walk through the set again on my way home. The shop fronts are gone and it looks more run-down, with posters up for war bonds, football matches and music concerts plastered to the walls. Loads of vintage cars, mainly covered up with tarps. Didn't have my camera on me though, so no photos.

Walked past it last week

Acquaintances have seen Mickey Rourke in Aleefs, and Bruce Willis at some bar in the evening

I wondered why some girls jokingly called me Bruce and mock-screamed as I walked by the set. Is that true then?

I'd not heard of either of those being involved. I wonder if Rourke is going to play the father of the character he played in Iron Man 2?
