Canas v. Djokovic

maybe the best tennis match I've seen
and probably the two best players in the world at the moment

calm down a little bit

"at the moment" you mean last 2-4 weeks? then maybe yes ;)

have you noticed the words 'maybe', 'probably' and 'at the moment' in my post?

that's exactly what I mean, at the moment, Djokovic is playing probably the best tennis in the world and the most attractive to watch. (Apart from Muster I think,) he's the only one to win this Masters wthout losing a single set (and Muster did not play the final due to the opponent's retirement. back then all matches were played in 5 sets, though). He only lost one game on his serve during the tournament. Murray and Djokovic have won the most matches this year, and Djokovic won an award for the greatest progress in the last year. he'll be seventh on ATP list tomorrow. Oh, and he's the youngest player to win this Masters.

btw, I can't be subjective, he's from Serbia ;)

p.s. Canas has beaten Federer twice in a row, and that makes him at the moment one of the best players in the world. He played 9 matches in Miami, over 15 hours and 189 games to the final (Djokovic spent on the court less than six hours and played about 90 games), and he's 10 years older than Djokovic

Ok, I don´t want this to became the isuue of words meaning.

We clearly don´t think the same saying the best at moment (what´s define the best ?) I would say they are in the best form now but ok. You have right to overreact. :D

Lets agree that it was a great tennis to watch and Djokovic has a very bright future ahead of him.

P.S. Muster was dire to watch. And watching match like Muster-Bruguera was a real torture. :boring:

well said, we agree :D

Is Ronaldo the best player in the world?
maybe not, but he definitely plays the best football and is in the best form at the moment

How do you fancy his chances on the clay in Paris? I know there are still two months to go but it should be a great watch again. Fereder finally wants to win it, dominant Nadal there, in form Djokovic and Canas and many others clay specialists... Should be fun.

Roland Garros is my favourite tournament because there´s always many interesting games and there are many players that can win the tournament. And the points are long too. In wimbledon one point takes 3-5 seconds. Serve, return, volley at the net, the point is over, that´s wimbledon game.

you're right, it's a long way to go.
and you're right, this should be interesting, several players with chances to go all the way, not only Federer and perhaps Nadal like last year(s). Nadal is still the favourite for me, though. nevertheless, Roland Garros is the most exciting to watch. I'd like (and expect) Roddick to get his 2003 form back as well, I love watching his matches.
Canas has shown it's possible to beat Roger, and other players should learn from him. still, I don't expect him to make any significant results in the future, but I hope he'll prove me wrong. the next Masters is in Monte Carlo, in less than two weeks. we'll see what happens there...
