The depressing thing is he'd be an improvement. Well we've been linked with Guarin and Cambiasso from Inter's CM so far. If we want one of their CMs we should get Ricky Alvarez instead. Like Januzaj, when he runs with the ball opponents panic and this season he's added productivity and puts his foot in for a few more tackles.
Isn't Kovacic the guy we should be looking to sign if we want to sign a midfielder from Inter?

He is having a good season to be fair but, he is 33 now, so I think this is most definitely a non-runner.

In no way saying sign him up but he is a player that I have always rated highly. If it was 10 years ago I would be saying spend some big money on him but I don't see any big club going after him. However, a loan to fill a gap in a squad would work for whoever needed it.
Do we really want players that can simply "do a job"? We have quantity, it's quality we're lacking.
In the position we are in, we do have to look short term to an extent as well as long term. Obviously long term takes priority but we are in a very important race for 4th and you don't want to miss out by a point but be glad we have one for the future. We also have to look at now.
Am I saying sign Cambiasso? No, I'm just talking about certain transfer possibilities.

He wasn't fast at 23 yo...but he is still a good player at 35.
Genuinely would rather Scholes came back.
