Watterson was a fecking genius. It was a tragedy he decided to stop.

Watterson was probably on the greatest comic strip writer ever. Up there with the likes of Schulz (sp?) that Peanuts creator.
I love the way Watterson managed to get his strips works for adults, but also injected that kid-like innocence. Calvin does the things we all wanted to do as a kid, but probably never did.
I love the way Calvin always built freak-mutant snowmen
, or perhaps traveling to outer space as Captain Spiff.
My favorite story however, is when Calvin and Hobbes decided to form GROSS. Absolutely hilarious.

Calvin and Hobbes is the best comic strip by far. Much better than Peanuts and the rest. Garfield is one of the worst.
