Is the caf having problems loading, i open threads and it takes more than usual to load... are we having a bandwith problem or something?

I've had that problem before. My suggestion, delete everything that has to do with internet explorer. Delete the Browsing history, and everything on that category, Go to advanced, and click on RESET below.
If it does not work, go to Start -> Run. Type CMD and enter. DOS pops up, type "Ipconfig/release" and after a few seconds type "ipconfig/renew". That should solve the problem.

i think the caf is supposed to load faster because there was a 2nd server added or something

I have problems downloading the Caf too. This is the same problem I had when I was downloading the internet once. After three years I was only at 2%.
The Caf goes AWOL pretty often as it fails to establish a connection
