How is it?

Downloaded the original Red Alert last night to revive this addiction I had so and so years ago. Still a good game but the graphics really suck and can only play through a DOS emulator

It's good fun, has Gemma Atkinson's tits and Tim Curry putting on a brilliantly bad Russian accent. Good times.

Oh yeah the game itself isn't bad either. Although i don't like playing as the Japanese, they have a weird way of building units.

I tried to download it to do some research on these awful uploaders.

It seems that EA have it tightly locked down as I never managed to get it working

I'm sure it's good once you get through it but like Starcraft I never liked those kind of missions where you have limited resources and have to run about meeting different objectives, I'd much rather play scenarios where you start from scratch and anhiliate everyone else. Played the PS3 demo and it looked good, though.

Now I really have to get it!

Ive yet to find a decent rts game after playing rise of nations.

I bought this on PC when it came out and hated it. Seemed like it was going for the cheesiest, wackiest RTS crown, and because I loved the old Red Alert games I was disappointed to see the series have to stoop so low.

Have to agree to an extent....didn't like it much at all and it has turned me right off Red Alert.

I still play Homeworld 2 and IMO thats a better RTS despite being years older.

I'm pretty much an RTS virgin, but I bought this the other day after a spell of nostalgia (I played the old game on a mate's pc when I was about 12 and loved it), so far I'm having lots of fun despite some annoying little perks.
