Absolutely no link to us so feel free to close / delete, but wouldn’t Busquets on a free be a no-brainier?

Rotate with Casemiro or play next to him in tougher games, he’d be great for us I think.

Why would he retire from the league he's been in his whole career, just to join a much better, more difficult and more physical league? He'll be looking for a pension league.

He's utterly finished. Has been for years. One of the prime reasons why Barca get humiliated in Europe every year.

Is he class on the ball? Ofcourse. He'll always be.

But the guy is a total liability off the ball. United aren't serious if they get him. At most, he can cut it in the Serie A.

Maybe barca need to sell dejong to pull messi. id rather benzema on a free

It won't happen, but on a 1 year deal (not 2) I'd probably say yes. Would be nice to have a quality passing option from deep and backup for Casemiro, even if he can't run anymore. Like a superior Matic. And we'd have to sign a #8. We could close games with Busquets-Casemiro together.

No. Not at this stage of his career. If he can't do it in LaLiga what chance does he stand in premier league?

Ten Hag could really use some players who are about hit their prime. It's just without accurate budget yet, this could pose as emergency option in case of summer overspend, but seriously this team needs new energy ready to sustain full season in Premier League... and this club simply doesn't have squad for the league from few good years.

Would ye all please, for the love of all things holy, stop suggesting we sign fukn pensioners.

I think we shouldn't consider free transfers just because they happen to be free and actually go after the best players who fit ETH's profile and future plans.

Huge amount of snobbery in this thread.

Busquets is one of the most decorated players in the history of football. He has an incredible football brain and a wealth of experience.

I doubt he'd have much interest in joining but he'd be a great addition to the squad for a season. But if he was going to England he'd join Pep at City imo to reduce the workload on Rodri.

  • Do not create threads for players unless you can provide a credible transfer source. If there's no source then you're simply discussing a footballer, so go to the Football Forum instead

He's going to MLS or to Saudis.

He's 34 and not the player he once was. Maybe 5 years ago though.
