Cringe-inducing nonsense or genius marketing?

Hate them. But think I'm in "old man yells at cloud territory. "

Just posted the Brooklyn 99 one in the other thread. I loved it. The social media team can only try and increase engagement on their signing videos which is unlikely to be organic given their clubs stature and actual players being signed. Hence, they have gone the creative way and I think its brilliant.

Definitely cringe inducing. They're just not good.

It is cringe, but I will take that over a bland, no nonsense, meh announcement.

Still, my favorite is probably Roma (I think, whichever team that was) which was accompanied by info about a missing person.

If those pop culture references had any connection with the players signing, I’d kind of get that. Now they just seem very random and weird.

I like it. At least it’s creative. The Betis one last year with grand theft auto was kinda cool too

The Brooklyn Nine one was pretty good to be fair. And all of them are better than this one

I like it when people/companies don't take themselves too serious and make something so bad/irrelevant on purpose that it's funny. Definitely my favourite announcement videos on social media.

They're great! Some creativity which will get people to watch them and add visibility to players most will never have heard of before. Very clever marketing. Our Onana announcement in comparison was cack.

 Just watched it. I like the idea. The implementation and acting though, could have been better.

I thought that, with these, there was usually some play on the players name or small connection to the player played for laughs, but they just stick a video of a player awkwardly saying hello in a completely random clip.

It’s so bizarre but I did end up laughing at how completely strange it is. Verging on anti-comedy.

You’re talking about them, so job done for the marketing team.

These things are largely aimed at kids, if you’re getting annoyed by it you should close your browser for a while.

The first one was pretty good.
I didn't get the James Trafford one.. was there a refrence to something in there?
The other two were meh..

They're for kids and teenagers mostly, clubs like Burnley are always fighting an uphill battle to get kids to show up to Turf Moor of a Saturday rather than staying home to watch City or United.

Nothing that kids and teenagers love more than a good pop culture reference from 25 years before they were born.

I thought their Weghorst one was brilliant and made sense

im not sure I actually get the joke behind these latest ones.

When you see stuff like this, you begin to appreciate Burnley’s efforts

I think they are ok. At least they are trying something and seem to not take themselves overly serious.

On a sidenote: Amdouni is a cracking player. Can't wait to see how he does in the Premier League.

Another one
