Burnley sack Sean Dyche

Wow. He could have left them several times if I’m not mistaken and did wonders keeping them up so long

No, but seriously, a man’s lost his job here today.

Panic move, there's no manager that will come in and do significantly better than Dyche was doing with this squad. Only 4 points off safety with 8 games left. Quite unrespectful too after 10 years but that's the cutthroat PL cycle for you.

Quite hope they go down now.

The single worst thing Burnley could've done in their current position. Screams of desperation from Alan Pace, after purchasing the club with a shitload of debt.

They will go down 100% now, putting a bet on it

bad timing for ten hag. could prompt a rethink.

Makes sense. If he’s going if they’re relegated anyway then May as well give it one last manager bounce blast to stay up.
They don’t have to go down because Sean did such a good job before this. He doesn’t have the right to relegate them

I thought they would anyway but he was the only reason I thought they may have stayed up. Absolutely bonkers. He’d definitely have got them back up.
Exactly, at some point they need to realise that may be the best thing to target to do anyway and he would do that with him almost for sure

Although it's a weird move it's probably good for them both. Dyche now has nothing to stop him taking another job (Feel like his loyalty to Burnley always stopped him moving on) and Burnley have one last chance at trying to stay up. I remember the outcry when that bloke at Southampton was sacked and then Poch/Koeman etc. did far better.

Norwich should hire him immediately. He'd get them up next year and then confound all known scientific knowledge by actually keeping them up.

Insane. Must be to do with the American owners

There's got to be something else to this. Has dyche done something dodgy that may come out soon?

Crazy decision given his history of keeping them up and staying loyal. They’ve even got a winnable game this weekend with WH likely suffering a hangover from last night.

As a Burnley ‘hater’, I’ll be delighted if this is true. It cannot be emphasised just how much of a driving force he has been behind their rise and success. Hopefully this triggers a major decline for them.

The club only paid a transfer fee for one player (Barnes) in 3 transfer windows under him ahead of their 2014 promotion. Their 2015 relegation wasn’t a failure at all as they diverted money away from their transfer budget onto building their new training ground (which Dyche fully supported), and they went something like 23 games unbeaten to win the Championship title in 2016. And since then, with their spend on wages and transfer fees I’d say that 6 consecutive seasons in the top flight, including 7th and 10th place finishes both with 54 points, and at least one victory against a ‘big name’ club together with additional draws every year without fail, has been a good innings.

What the feck. Another crazy decision by the new board. Didn’t they sell their best striker to relegation rivals Newcastle in January? Now they’ve sacked Dyche who the whole club is based around. This will keep Everton safe

Think that's like really physically impossible.

Wood had a release clause. Wehgorst hasn’t been a great replacement though.
