Surprized there is no thread for him yet, Phenomenal talent, Accelaration, pace, directness, dribbling ability, Ball control, Delivery in the box, goal scoring vision , work rate and can play both wings.

Linked to tottenham, Leicester , southhampton and also united. Portugese player so have a huge admirationtoplay for jose mourinho which he has himself admitted . He is forcing out a move out of his current club and mourinho has scouted him as well .

So reminds me of sadio mane. Ideal player for united available for cheap. http://metro.co.uk/2017/02/20/bruma...nfirms-galatasaray-sporting-director-6459866/

Should we get him? thoughts cafe..

A lot of pace, a lot of exceptionally shit defending.
At 22 years of age he'd be an interesting squad option.

I remember him being highly rated 3-4 years ago while he was at Sporting and was ripping it apart with the Portugal youth teams. He went to Galatasaray and got a serious injury shortly after, and haven't heard from him since.

We've been linked to him numerous times. Very good player, would suit the EPL. If he joins us he''ll replace Martial or be direct competition.

If he's like Mane then no. For all the plaudits Mane seems to get I've seen him have quite a few poor games this season and I hate his style of play. He often looks like he doesn't know himself where the ball will go when it's at his feet.

For all of Mane's faults, he transforms Liverpool's performances, when he's injured they lose a great deal from their general play, he is their cutting edge. United sure could use such a player.

I watched a few youtube compilations of him a few days ago and I thought exactly the same thing that he reminded me of Sadio Mane, I would take him, he would be an upgrade on Lingard.

I can talk with some knowledge about Bruma, in 2013 I wouldn't say that he had the same potential as Ronaldo, but I can say in Sporting academy after Ronaldo he probably was the best winger there with high expectations.

He made an outstanding under 20 WC in 2013, I even think he was the best goalscorer there even if Portugal was eliminated by Gana at the last 16.

Anyway, what maters is that after his debut season at Sporting first team and after that under 20 WC, his agent Catio Baldé forced his transfer out of Sporting in a real soap opera, and the kid lost the oportunity of being coached next season by Leonardo Jardim.

Remember, this kid played in the same youth teams as Eric Dier, João Mário and others who reached the high level, and he was the best of all them by far at an young age.

After forcing the transfer to Galatasaray, he arrived there with 18/19 years old and I don't know exactly but 5 or 6 months later he had an serious knee injury.

After that, we are talking about 2013/2014, next season he didn't exploded and was loaned to Real Sociedad where already didn't confirmed what was expected from him.

Finally he came back this season to Galatasaray, and under Jan Riekerink an dutch coach he exploded in Turkey, after that Galatasaray has financial problems, and Riekerink left, he is now coached by Tudor, and do not forget he plays in Turkey for Galatasaray, with players like Sneijder or Podolski, and with fanatic crowds at home and away, in much adversial environments than in England where the stadiums today look like cinemas compared to the atmosphere in Turkey.

I think he will be called to the next Under 21 Championship Portuguese Team under Rui Jorge, but having an good season there doesn´t automatically gives him a place in the 11, because Rui Jorge sometimes doesn´t like some of his tactical work in the team, because at Galatasaray he plays in a different sistem where he has more freedom to play.

Anyway, if he plays it will be good to watch, because we will play against Spain, Serbia who won the under 20 WC in 2015, and Macedonia, who I think eliminated teams like France, it will be tough.

Lets see if players like Gelson or Andre Silva will go there or will be in the Confederations Cup, but the most important thing is to say, for United, no, I do not think is the right club for him, because Mourinho is about the finished product, he doesn't care if he is from Portugal, and by the way he is not a Mendes player, but I would like to see him playing for Spurs, as crazy it may sound, for 3 reasons:

  1. He is forcing the transfer, only has 1 year left in his contract, so probably will not be an overpriced Mendes player like Sanches, affordable for Spurs
  2. Eric Dier, they played in the same youth teams, would maybe help him to settle there
  3. Pochettino, no problem in developing young players
The only problem I can see for him in England, is if he can adapt to such an physical football, or if we will arrive at a good physical and mental shape, I personally would like to see him playing at France, but all the rumours are linked to England.

Having said all that, personally hope if he is not going for Spurs, at least choose Sothampton, where he could be coached by Puel, and Cedric plays there, it would help him too.

P.S. I personally think he has more natural talent than Lingard, but that doesn't mean he would be automatically better as a team player like Lingard, who was brought up in United sistem.

From 1994 portuguese players, if it was 3 years ago, I would say Bruma was the best, atm is Bernardo Silva, Bruma or Hélder Costa, Bruma has 10 goals and 8 assists in Turkey, Hélder Costa has 12 goals and 11 assists between Championship, Fa Cup and League Cup, oh and he is at Wolverhampton (Mendes player), I cannot understand why Rui Jorge doesn´t bring him to the team.

I hope I gave an better inside to Bruma, and try to watch him if he goes to the Under 21 Championship.

This guy is quite similar to Nani but with more end product. He's got tonnes of pace to burn and his one-twos are amazing. The defending is pretty mediocre in the youtube video but did you notice that he went pass our defenders and scored as well. His stats this season has been 10 goals 8 assists in 32 appearances which isn't too bad for a winger. He's a good crosser of the ball as well. I can see him gelling well with Rashford because of their pace. He could be worth a punt. He could be our poor man's Dembele. How much is he worth? And has there been any rumors that we are interested? He does a look a lot better than Willian at the same age.

I am gonna guess that he is as inconsistent as a couple of youngsters we have in the team too. That's the only way to explain why his stats are not double of what he has. I don't see Mourinho getting another young attacker whilst still trying to get the best out of Martial and Rashford. The player would have to be exceptional like Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele imo.

We do need the directness, the explosiveness and the pace but I don't know if he's the right fit or if it is the right time for Bruma to move to United. However having said that, it would be a bummer if he moves to Spurs and then takes the league by storm. I could see Spurs going in for him because even last season they were looking for a player in a similar mould when they signed Sissoko and he's ended up failing miserably.

Has he improved, I mean like massively improved? I remember watching him a-few times when he was on loan at Sociedad and he was dreadful.

I remember he was extremely highly rated as a youngster though and we were linked when he was still at Sporting.

Yes have to agree. Mourinho will not make any mistakes (on paper at least) with the transfers this summer. Potentially next season will be his toughest as he has to get Utd back in the top 2 at least. Its will be 5 seasons without a sniff of the title otherwise, and how quick the board have sacked managers, I bet that will be a requirement of him keeping his job.

Are you joking mate ????

Eric Dier ??? He is only have one good season at Tottenham...and only good in EPL...while is truth, he's having potential, but saying that he has reached the high level ??? Really ??? What level ??? And if i have to give a note, Dier looks good in Tottenham because he's been help by the Real DM Horse-Work like Wanyama, Dembel and Sissoko...He is nothing special, even Ross Barkley will be star player in Spurs, since he does not need to be a workhouse Midfielder...

Joa Mario ??? Really ??? The one who's been shit at Inter Milan ??? I can name 10 players in Serie A better than this lad...

No offense to United Portugal-based fan, even current youth stars of Portugal national team itself, who had win Euro, like Renato Sanchez, Andre Silva, are not even the main XI...because they are not good enough....

I used to like Portugal...but only several players who became Worl Class or Good : Vitor Baia, Rui Costa, Figo, Deco, Ricardo Carvalho, Fernando Couto, Ricardo Costa, CR7, Pepe, Nani, Simao, even Quaresma as youth player excited me...

But not this current generation...Only good in youtube and media...sadly...

Spurs have been tracking him for a while now. What an utterly idiotic move it was to jump to galatasary, bloody hell. He's seen sense now and will be in one of the top leagues next season. I don't think we're the ideal club for him unfortunately.

And Why not? If he turns out like mane in this league in 2 years? All the attributes we require in our squad.

Fergie used to do this kind of shrewed deals though.

Mane was utterly brilliant at Salzburg and very good for Soton. Has this Bruma shown any consistency?

From what I remember, he's very fast, agile and technical. Would his physical play be up to the standards of PL? There's been loads of the speed merchants failing in the PL - lately Musa, feghouli, Iturbe etc.

Because we're going to be trophy hunting next season with immense pressure to deliver. That's not the ideal environment for a guy in his 1st yr in the PL. He'll need time to adjust and that'll see him spend more time on the bench than on the pitch. He's much better off moving to a club in the 2nd tier where he'll get games and patience with lesser pressure.

From what I know we have watched him and have an interest. Whether that turns into an actual transfer is anybody's guess.

I'm not sure what direction you're taking this discussion. My point, which I'll repeat again is that we're not the right club for him to take the next step in his development process. He'd be better off at a slightly lower level club where he can develop without the crazy pressure which comes with playing for us. Who will or will not improve our wing options has nothing to do with what's good for him.

I think @SCP made a great post about him. What i worry the most about him is his mentality and football intelligence. Regarding his pace, technic and ability he's one of the best i've seen in our academy. I would prefer to see him at a club like Southampton first.

Mane is a beast. The dippers suffer without him. Werent we linked with this kid last summer?

Sir, I believe your question mark (?) button is bugging.

From what I remember, he's very fast, agile and technical. Would his physical play be up to the standards of PL? There's been loads of the speed merchants failing in the PL - lately Musa, feghouli, Iturbe etc.
My doubt about him in England is the club, coach and his mental or physical shape during pre season, sometimes I have some doubts about his mental strength, mainly because he is surrounded by an awful agent since he left Guine Bissau to Portugal.

In England for him, atm the best clubs for him would be Southampton or Spurs, only then we can see how he performs at that level, I even suspect that maybe the other kid Hélder Costa from Wolves is more adapted now to play in the Premier League, lets wait for the future.

One thing is for sure, he does not have the same mental strength of Cristiano, even Nani after leaving United showed some capacity to reinvent himself when everyone said he was finished, only plus for Bruma is that this season he proved the doubters he still has something after those 3 hard seasons, and playing alongside Sneijder or Podolski also maybe helped him too.

But the players you mentioned, they were or are good, bu England is different than all the other top leagues, sometimes not the best technical players adapt to that type of play, and sometimes you can have players like Mahrez or Kante who didn't looked nothing out of this world in their countries and when they play in England they look something out of this world, maybe if they played at Barcelona or Madrid they would fail too, hard to predict.

I don't have the inteligence for your expertise, try to find Wumminator, he maybe can explain to you what is high level in football, I am too limited for your football knowledge.

Nothing special tbh, would just be yet another pace merchant in this league.
