Britball....

If it is...tell it too feck off and leave us with Football. :)

Good luck. Can you play american football growing up in the UK? Did you have to go elsewhere to learn the game?

It's not a big deal over here at all. Late night on Sky Sports 2 sometimes, I believe, and there were one or two people in my school who sort of half-heartedly followed it.

I only know one person who really supports it with a passion, and he's got Canadian family, so he's into North American sports like American Football, Baseball and Ice Hockey. He supports the Philadelphia Eagles, too, for no other reason other than he likes the green that they play in.

You can nowdays.

There is a youth team at the club im joining, and at various others around the country.

I learnt it by just watching and playing catch with my brother...we always liked American Sports more than all the other English sports that weren't proper football.

But the University of Bath is offering out scholarships for people to play for them now, all paid for by the NFL.

I think it's really starting to branch out over here.

So its obviously becoming a lot more popular nowadays over there. Pretty interesting.

It definatly has the potential to become about 5 or 6th sport over here i think.

Football
Cricket
Rugby

and then after that it'll probably be between Athletics and the two american Sports (Basketball and Football)

Ddidn't realize it was that popular in the UK. I knew the Giants-Dolphins game drew a sell out, but that's different then league forming and such.

Britbowl 22 took place last week and was shown on Sky Sports. I am contemplating joining Lancashire or Merseyside, played rugby for nearly 12 years, but fancy my hand at something else.

22 Seasons? Wow! Never would have thought a league would have been going on that long...

It maybe they have used poetic licence and included the old NFL Europe as a marker of how long, but yes, Britbowl 22 won by London someone or other, who feature some old NFL Europe players.
