Since we are lacking a striker, right midfielder and a right back why not go for Brett Emerton, he can play anywhere along the right side and up front. He is cup tied though after playing for Feyanoord but he would be an awesome player to have in the squad. Liverpool, Leeds and Newcastle have been after him recently but he hays always been a United fan and did express his desire to play in England for United.

 I agree about Emerton, but last I heard, we had David Beckham and Gary Neville on our squad. :D

TBH, I've always been an Emerton fan, but I don't know what sort of role he would have with us, since Becks and Gary don't look like they would be going anywhere soon, and Emerton likely won't want to move to OT for a backup role.

I think Emerton isn't on United-niveau...
He can play quite some resonable games, but I think it says enough that he's not always playing for Feyenoord...

I think he's also not the best player for you.
Think about this:
Why didn't Guus Hiddink (who saw all Korean players for about 2 years) tell PSV to buy Song and let one of the biggest concurrents buy him?

Too true.

Strange that Hiddink hasn't bought any Korean players. Are they all that bad?

I thought though, that Song will suit us, partly because we are looking for cover in 3 forward positions at a reasonable price and someone for the future, not a player of established ability to come straight into the first team.

Song is very quick as well and would give us some pace in the front line that we are lacking.

Park will come after the winterbreak. He'll sign next week.
Maybe Lee (one of them :) ) will come too.
They're both very young and talented midfielders.

Park Ji-Sung? He's pretty good as a playmaker but surely with Van Bommel you don't need him.

I don't know much about Lee (don't know which one you're talking about really - Lee Eul-Yong?) but if he's the one who played against Turkey, that's a good dead ball player. Is he a winger? I don't remember any impressive wingers from the Koreans except Song Chong-gug.

The Lee is the one which was also called Lilly Lee, and he's a player with some good moments as I heard.
Well, I think Park could be quite useful. Van Bommel is injured at the moment and everybody expects him to leave at the end of this season.

Van der Meyde is certainly not (yet) good enough for Man Utd. But he's still quite young and could grow to a better level.

When your looking for someone on the right wing, you'd better not search in Holland... We only have Rommedahl and he's got only one wapon: His speed. Yesterday an assist went over the line on the other side of the field at about the middleline... (and he was standing near the cornerflag <img src="graemlins/annoyed.gif" border="0" alt="[Annoyed]" /> )
We bought Lindsay Wilson this year. He's an Australian winger and people who know his qualities say he's even faster than Rommedahl and can kick against a ball in a proper way too! So I expect quite a lot of him, but he has just recovered from a serious foot-injury.

Song is a fast, physical player who fits in well anywhere across the middle four as well as upfront but he's basically a right-footed player so he could be a cheaper alternative as comprtition for Beckham on the right flank.

A player like Park would actually do well in the English league, he epitomizes the typical Korean player, not afraid to be physical and full of running but this chap has a touch of vision in him as well as well as being rather vocal (if you can understand korean that is).

Good squad player for us IMO.

unless the koreans intend doing kung-fu on the pitch, they hardly fit the photofit of a player fergie wants.

Kung fu? That's a chinese martial art, not korean.

What do you know about the "photofit" of a fergie type of player?
