Any news on their injuries? Is there a site for that kind of info on academy/reserve players?

Rodrigo's injury was nothing too serious, a minor ankle knock and he should be fit for tonight at St James' Park. Not sure about Brady, I don't think that he would have played tonight anyway because he played on Thursday night for the Reserves and then on Saturday for the Academy.

Isn't he just? :)

Had you heard about him in Dublin before we signed him?

I heard talk of him for a long time. There were a lot of clubs looking at him. Luckily he is a United fan. Seen him playing once at Kevins. He was outstanding.

Si is he a winger or a central midfielder?

He's naturally a winger, left winger but right footed. Quite good on his left but mostly likes to cut in onto his right. He can play off the main forward too. Oddly though, he was used as a central midfielder for the Newcastle home reserve match.

Not that weird, Fergie wants young players to test new positions to see how they cope with being given a new role.

Yeah fair enough, I just didn't envisage him playing there but he did do quite well - has a lot of energy.

Robert Brady (Manchester United)
Born: 14th January 1992. U17 caps: 3.

Midfielder/striker. Robert is the only player in the Irish squad eligible to play at Under-17 level again next season. His pace and trickery on the left wing, or in attack, gives another dimension to the Irish side.

Thanks for this, he was born in 1992! I thought it'd be 1991 like Macheda who's 16, Brady's only just turned 16 then...really is a special talent and got plenty of time to hone his talents.

Wow that makes his performances so far even more impressive seeing as he should really be listening to siren music celebrating his junior cert results!!!!
