I hate the fact that most of our outgoing players are due to retire.. Bit I like the fact that except Devlin & Hargreaves (Injuries) We aren't releasing anyone on a free.. Shows that we handle our contractual problems well..

Agree.
It's a good thing and a clever move to sell "superfluous" and / or unmotivated players before the contract expires. This even though there may be emotional pain involved.
 
There is some good players there for lower PL sides and Championship clubs.

Reckon players like Benjani, Carew, Reo-Coker, Samuel, Gardner etc... (Jesus there are loads of handy players available) will have a few clubs to choose from
 
Giles Barnes and Jason Koumas. Two players with so much promise but both failed to materialise
 
Michael Woods released by Chelsea, did they not have to pay a fair whack of compensation to sign both him and Tom Taiwo from Leeds.

:lol: Yes, we received £5 million for Woods and Taiwo (now at lowly Carlisle)....Chelscum are crap at bringing through good young kids.
 
Just goes to show that Blackpool were very clever in their recruitment. They already expected to get relegated but gave it a good go with some short term deals. Should be in great shape with parachute payments

Leeds are meant to be in for him. A return for him and supposedly Smith.

Always shocked when teams let a player go for free when it's obvious they could get money for selling them. Villa alone could get nice money for Carew and Reo-Coker. Money down the drain...
 
Surprised Fulham let Gera go, he must be old or something.

Mark Randall used to get CC games as well and was meant to be pretty good. Seemed a bit more willing to put his foot in than some of the other kids there.

I thought both Thomas Cruise and Steve Irwin were supposed to be up and coming, prob worth a shot for some lower premier league teams.

Wenger saw the film "Top Gun" and got carried away.

Luckily the film "Gooner with the wind" was before his time, else Clark Gable would have become Arsenal's star midfield prospect.
