Boro on Tuesday - 343 ?

Boro will be coming at us. McClaren will want to prove a point. Its a big game. What should the team be ? Is it worth playing three at the back? Otherwise I think Tierney may have to play. We dont have enough midfielders atm to play five in Midfield. Lets assume our injury probs look something like this:

Barthez
Gary
Silvestre
Butt
Scholes

Carroll

Rio Larry John

Becks Veron Roy Giggs

Forlan Ruud Ole
 
Scholes,barthez,neville are still injured or quite a bit away from being match fit. Silvestre took a knock today and Roy may be starting a suspension.

What was the last time United started a game in an obvious 3-4-3 system ? or better yet when was the last time united didn't start with 4 defenders ?
I can't remember, and I can't see it happening on tuesday.

O'Shea certainly didn't play that bad as RB today, and I don't see we play with 3 defenders.

Otherwise I can see Butt in midfield as well with Ole dropped ..

I seriously doubt Fergie would ever start a game with three at the back. I think he'd play Maysie or put Nicky Butt at RB before starting with 3 (due to injury).
