There's still a bunch of threads on the first page for films though.
Books maybe not, but I daresay more people who regularly post in this section watch more films and play more computer games that read books.
After all you can watch a film in a matter of hours, but reading a book would take longer.

Gaming threads regularly go 40 pages plus. They need their own threads. One all consuming gaming thread would be an abomination.

I've made a single thread for the less high profile games, people can use it if they want. The GT5 thread is about to get more views on its own than the death of Michael Jackson, and the game isn't even released yet.
All books and movies can have their own threads. Many movies do!
I also find it funny that you brought this issue that you have up in the admin forum, it got locked, so you now decide to repeat it here?

Games are an ever-popular medium of entertainment in the modern world.. stop whingeing grandad, I'm sure if there was a plethora of new amazing books out we'd see the entertainment thread populated with such threads.. thing is there are not, so it attracts less traffic hence why the Book thread is a convenient thread to put all book related posts together.

For general stuff that don't really deserve a thread all to themselves. Maybe we could sticky that to remove talk about games that are never going to reach five pages or more?
We always try to keep the big stuff in single threads - Uncharted for example, there is a single thread for 1 & 2. Final Fantasy has a thread for all of them. The GT5 thread was renamed so that it includes both the Prologue and the main game. etc. The likes of Football Manager, FIFA, PES, COD, etc. are so popular that they get their yearly iterations and rightly so.
Maybe a single thread for console problems would be a good idea, similar to the one for PC problems, because they create one hell of a lot of threads. There are also a lot of vs. threads, and which console should I buy - they could all be dumped into one.

There are loads of individual threads for movies. There's a Harry Potter one on this very page. Likewise with music.
As for books, well there's bound to be less. Sadly people just don't read much any more.

You clearly have a problem with gaming and/or gamers. If you don't like the ratio of gaming to book/film/music threads in the forum, might I suggest that you create some interesting threads to prompt some discussion from the "Adults"?
