There is a new book out about Bobby and Jackie Charlton. Probably I won`t get a chance to look at it where I live. Has anybody read it?
I am very interested in this book as I believe that apart from acknowledgement of his superb skills on the pitch, Bobby has never received the credit he deserves as a human being.
George Best made a number of bitchy cracks about Bobby and I understand that Bobby was withdrawn and therefore not the most popular of men in the Manchester United teams he played in. However, don`t forget Bobby was in the Munich disaster as a young man and most likely never got over that.
He is one of my heroes (more so than Bestie as he had and has a dignity absent from the likes of Bestie and Crerand) and so I would like to know if anyone has read that book yet?
