A bit late, but I've been occupied. But to all the Scousers who laughed when I said Boavista ain't any better than Everton. They certainly didn't look any better last Wednesday.....

I wouldn't expect to trash Everton either these days though.... ;)

Boavista were shit, but Everton are a distinctive grade of shit that Boavista could only ever imagine.

According to the Scousers, Boavista was a superb team earlier in the season.....

I never said they are shit, I said they were shit.
Anyone can play poorly on the day.

Or using the famous KT saying "we made them look poor......"

I don't think they are poor. Just an average team - and nowhere near as good as you lot claimed they were. There were posters on KT claiming that Boavista had a decent chance of winning the CL.....

True.

Our real test will come on the away leg. If we can get 5 points off of Boavista away, and the two Nantes games, I think we'll get through..even if we get nothing v Bayern at OT.

I think we will be through before our away game to Boavista.....

In all fairness mate you can't tar us all with the same brush. I honestly believe Boavista, like yourself, are a fairly average side that deserved respect because they won their league. When we played them I thought if we had have attacked more we could have won both games.

As I said after you played them - your negative tactics and approach to games stopped you beating them.

To be honest I wouldn't have any worries about you getting through this group. Once you are in the QF's anything can happen depending on the draw. I still don't think you have what it takes to win the trophy though.

at the moment winning a game is proving pretty tough never mind the biggest trophy in european football

To be honest though this is our first taste of the CL so we were probably too cautious in those games. Having said that it didn't really hinder us in any way.
The group we are in now is much tougher and I'm sure it will test our ability to go out and win games when we need to.
