Not the band, the game.

fecking marvellous. It's like a grown up version of Mario Kart and it's absolutely terriffic online. I urge everyone to buy it and get online.
 
My brother has it on the 360. I watched him play it the other day. It does look exceedingly good.

Is it better than 'Split/Second', though?

I say yes (I've got that too)
They've very similar but there's more to Blur than Split Second although the crashes/explosions are more spectacular on Split Second.

Both games are extremely good fun but Blur pisses all over it online.
 
I might buy it. You can pick it up for £29.99. Are you on PS3 or 360?

I just had a gander at a few online reviews (Metacritic, IGN reviews on youtube, 1UP, etc). The consensus seems to be that 'Split/Second' is the superior game.

I might go for that one instead. The graphics and sound seem insane. The main thing that 'Blur' has over it on the surface, is genuine car models.

Honestly, I wasn't sure about Blur until I saw it on the cheap and thought 'feck it' and just bought it. I can't put it down atm and it's driving my mrs mad. Online is absolutely brilliant.

But, Split Second is a very good game too. You can't go wrong with either. My only gripe with Split Second is that it's pointless playing online until you unlock all the cars in the single player mode because everyone plays with a rated 10 car.

The game modes are brilliant online.

You start off with all the other newbies in the 'Learner Driver' section. In that, the more points you earn by completing challenges etc, the more cars you'll get and once you reach level 10, you unlock other modes and the abilty to race in all the events with everyone else.

You also unlock perks which are good fun if you get the right combination.

The Destruction Derby is brilliant :D
 
i loved the beta, i just cant pay full price for any games at the moment, too many bills and credit cards to pay off, once its £20-£25 ill prob get it
 
I was tempted but im trying to be good, moving into my new house in a month, need to save money!
 
Love this game. So much better than Split/Second and the NFS series. Races are always fun in this with so many power ups to pick up and fire
 
i also bought it today in tesco for £26

prob wont be able to play it till tomorrow lunchtime though
 
The single player is hard as feck. I have just finished Split/Second, and getting to grips with these mechanics is proving difficult. I am used to hand breaking, then feathering the throttle to drift....doesn't work in Blur. I just pile straight into a fecking wall.

Good game, though.
