Just been listening to some old Bobby Womack and Curtis Mayfield cds and put me in the mood for some Blaxploitation films. Seen and know of a few - Shaft, Cleopatra Jones, Across 110th Street, Superfly - but anyone got any more they know of to recommend?

I have black dicks in white chicks, pretty good cinematography but the narrative lets it down a tad.

I don't know anything about films and what you exactly mean by Blaxploitation but check out Undercover Brother - its not the most serious of films as its a kind of comedy/spoof of it all.

Its the term given to the films which came out in the late 60s to the early/mid 70s, looking at black culture mainly in New York...very political, crime-orientated, and for most part pretty well made. Great examples of looking at what society was going through in these times.
Great soundtracks too!

I think Marvin Gaye wrote one, called Trouble Man, and did the soundtrack too. Haven't seen it though.

Oh, and if you want to watch one completely absurd one, check out Dolemite. Also, there were two blaxploitation dracula films. Scream, Blacula, Scream and Blacula.
