Apparently the word on the grapevine is that the IPL is going to be moved to South Africa with an official announcement expected soon.

Aussie commentator Jim Maxwell slipped it into conversation.

They're now saying that England are favourites to fill the breech. Supposedly an IPL delegation will by flying out on Tuesday.

Would certainly raise the interest of the tournament here in Britain, be quite contrasting conditions compared to last year mark you.

Odd how quickly things have changed. The stadia would have been better filled and the games supported over here, pity.

Reports now suggesting that both government support as well as English weather conditions played a part.

I don't have a particular team in the competition but the Delhi Daredevils signed up two players from the England side, so they'll suit as good as any.
