Tuuuuuuune blud.

In other words. I quite like this song from that bloke from Outkast.

Really can't wait for this one. Could be a great year for music with this, Andre 3000's debut, Cee-Lo Green's new album (the guy from Gnarls Barkley) and most importantly a new OutKast album

Dunno if everybody has heard about this, but Big Boi has been forced to cut a few of his tracks from the album, since they feature Andre 3000. Which is a true shame because after experimenting with all his indie/r&b/funk/neo-soul stuff on The Love Below (which was brilliant), Andre is finally back to rapping, and from the 2 leaked tracks I've heard that should have appeared, he's still one of the best around;

I'm hoping these tracks end up on the new OutKast album.

Jive is blocking Andre 3000 from being on the album, there won't be a Outkast reunion, which is blaspheme

3 Stacks and Daddy Fat Sacks need to get their personal projects out of the way, hip hop needs another Outkast album. I'm not sure about Stankonia yet but these three albums consolidate their position as the best hip hop duo of all time

What is wrong with Stankonia?

It was a bit too pop for me. B.O.B., Toilet Tisha and Stankonia were some of my favorite tracks, but I wasn't feeling the overall sound. For me, Stankonia introduced Outkast to mainstream music (pop and the like). By that time, their legacy in hip hop was complete.

Srsly?

Xplosions
Red Velvet
Snappin' and Trappin'
We Luv Deez Ho's...All fantastic and far from pop in sound or lyrical content.

I think you're placing too much importance on the success of Mrs. Jackson and perhaps So Fresh, So clean.

The key with Outkast is that each record has a different sound. The beats on Stankonia were out of this world and gave it a real energy. It had a feel like James Brown, a locomotive engine that's high as feck and ain't stopping for anyone. Not taking anything away from their previous albums (ATLiens is fantastic) but there's a reason Stankonia achieved such mainstream success and that's because it was slammin', as they say.

The Big Boi song is alright, not Purple Ribbon All-Stars stuff but decent and it's good to know Daddy Fat Sacks is still in the studio making tracks. Hope Outkast returns soon, though.

His album is out today, and from what I've heard of it so far, it's brilliant: Up there with some of the best stuff he did with OutKast. It's been getting rave reviews everywhere i've looked, could be the album of the year so far.

just about to post a thread about the album and then found this, the album is outstanding and my shout for album of the year so far..

follow us, general patton, tangerine and you aint no dj are immense

I've been listening to it almost non-stop since yesterday, definitely my album of the year so far.

The thing that's so amazing about it for me, is that it works so well on two levels; firstly as a complete album, it's extremely varied but still perfectly balanced, and the skits are actually pretty funny (like the David Blaine one). But it also works in the sense that there are so many possible singles here, sometimes featuring popular mainstream artists, that could very easily be big radio and club hits this year, like "Follow Us", "Shutterbugg", "Tangerine", "Hustle Blood" with Jamie Foxx, "Be Still" with Janelle Monae, "Night Night" with B.O.B and "Shine Blockas" with Gucci Mane.

Stunning album. I had high hopes for it, but it's gone way above what I was expecting.

Such a good song. Giving the album a listen.

I love Shutterbug, probably one of the best tracks of this year. Got such a great feel to it.
