What it says on the tin. Not the 'best U21', 'best U18' etc, but rather the best from the narrower groups that progress through the structure together. Possibly Mr MUJAC or Khoazany or someone can suggest a definitive way to break them down. But don't get too bogged down in the technicalities, I'm mostly just interested to know who the caf rates most highly at the moment.

I won't post my own because to be honest this season I've not been catching every game the way I used to, and I've lost track of a few of the younger lads in particular.

Are we only counting academy graduates/youth products (so no Varela Powell etc)?

Just go with the England age group format should be fine i.e youngsters born from September to August of the following year belong to the same age group.Fyi this is the break down:
92-93: M.Keane,Thorpe,Lingard,Johnstone,W.Keane
93-94: Blackett,James
94-95: Januzaj (lol),Pearson,Rothwell,McNair,...
95-96: Wilson,A.Pereira,Janko,Harrop,Goss...
96-97: Mitchell,Borthwick-Jackson,Henderson,J.Thompson,...
97-98: Rashford,Tuanzebe,Kehinde,Reid,...
98-99: Gribbin,Dearnley,Williams,Warren,...
...

How deep down the rank you want to dive into?I supposed until the U16s crop (Gribbin,Dearnley,Williams,etc,...)?The bold names are the my choices - I choose more than one of each age group since it's quite obviously for most of the age groups if you only choose one.The 92-93 crop is quite tricky but I chose W.Keane despite his struggling last season since he's the one with the most "x-factor" out of that lot IMO.

Cheers, that's probably the best way to do it. I agree with a lot of your picks too. Obviously pretty much every age-group we're turning out at the moment is fairly special, but there really was something in the water in 94-96 wasn't there! Januzaj, Pearson, Rothwell, Wilson, Pereira, Harrop, Goss...

Wow, you rate Thorpe above Lingard? Also I rate Janko quite high.

If you know me well you'll know that I don't rate Janko at all.No hate, just don't quite rate him.

I'm a big fan of Thorpe.

Although you havent seen him play, Timothy Fosu Mensah should be in it.

Should be but I don't want to rate who I haven't seen at all.

What about Janko do you not like?

He seems lack of footballing brain for me and looks like headless chicken at times.I think Joe Riley is a better RWB prospect than him even though I don't think any of them will become first team regulars.
