What are some of the worst cover songs you have ever heard? I hate it when a piece of shit band/artist covers one of your fave songs. Anyway I will get the ball rolling, and to be honest, it'll be hard to top as being one of the worst cover or version of the song you will ever hear.

They are utter wank. What the feck were they doing with "Comfortably Numb"? Talk about gaying up a song... Most of the shit they've released is pretty atrocious to be honest. I don't have a problem if they are catering for those type of listeners but if you're going to "gay up" a song, cover Elton John you fecking Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime. Have a competition to see who's version is more gayer but don't fecking ruin epic songs. Twats.
 
Worst Cover songs? Everything Oasis have released.....poor Beatles.

Best covers?

Mandatory Suicide (slayer) - Decapitated

Anaal Nathrakh's cover of De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas was also fecking brilliant.

Song To The Siren - This Mortal Coil (better than the original)
Bizarre Love Triangle - Frente (excellent and very different take on a brilliant original)
Mad World - Gary Jules (excellent and very different take on a brilliant original)
Lick The Tins - Can't Help Falling In Love (better than the original)

The worst are any covers performed by those insipid Simon Cowell products. Will young - Light my fire et al.

Yeah that has to be up there. That song shouldn't really be covered particularly by them. I've yet to hear one good cover by them.

I don't know about worst, I tend to deliberately block out when people butcher songs.
