When you play season in the league it's better not to play Tevez on the wing.

Better to rest someone.
 
feckin hell. I asked whats the best United formation on PES2008.

Van Piorsing, Im talking about playing a one off game, what do you reckon?

It's pretty hard to show it here, like this :lol: but hopefully you get the gist, and where the midfield line is. Ronaldo 3 clicks from the sideline etc.
Hope this helps. When I play Barcelona I use a very very different tactic. I only play PvP by the way. I'm immense :)

fecking hell, a lot of effort went into that.
 
played the full version today for the first time on the 360. Had more fun than i've had playing fifa, but then again i've always been a PES guy.

Ive played about 200 games and lost only twice, one of them yesterday :(

I don't change formation. 442 is the best for me because I've been playing that tactic in every chapter.

Carrick's long shots are about 86 and Scholesy's 88 as I remember, so it's good to have them in centre of midfield. Hargreaves is underrated by Konami, IMO... so I would put Carrick. If you want to win more balls in midfield use Carrick-Hargreaves combo in midfield.

I prefer to use Park over Giggsy... that old Giggsy is still great but Park is stronger a little bit and he's winning more balls in midfield. Park is really mint in PES 2008, just like in reality. It's hard to tackle him when you dribble him in a straight line.

Saha or Tevez ? Saha... he's quicker, and there's always a chance you'll score from header. Still Tevez is a good option too... he's got a great strengh and his holding the ball really good. Even attacked by 2 opponents sometimes he's still in possesion, just like in reality.

Defence... Evra is fast and great when you attack, but he's very weak when opponent got corner. If you're going to defend in the end of the match use someone stronger in the air and higher like O'Shea, who's got proper strengh and effective defensive headers.

Sometimes I play O'Shea on the right and Silvestre on the left... Mikael is quite fast and his height is much bigger than Evra's. Evra is good winger in PES, but his shots are not so good, so use him to dribble fast near goal and cross the ball inside the box, or try luck and try to surprise keeper. :)
 
Christ. As if any of that matters on PES.....
All you need to do is change direction and hold sprint to go past a player. You can then score absolute screamers from about 30 yards with players such as Olef Mellberg.

Not always.

If you're attacked by opponent while you're taking a shot with Olaf Melberg, you will score a nice goal kick or even throw in.

Then that's equally stupid. There is a such thing as scoring under pressure.
Konami really have fecked up this year and even the Pro Evo gimps have recognised this. It's as if they've tried to make the game as unrealistic as possible. What the hell have they done to the keepers and defenders?! Scoring a shot with Adriano from feck knows how far out is still a standard procedure and trying to tackle Messi and Ronaldo is an impossible dream.

Fifa is brilliant.
 
King Eric you seem quick to point out pro evo's flaw but seem to gloss over fifa's problems. It is far from "brilliant".

As opposed to having the FIFA fags hijacking every Pro Evo thread and having a FIFA love in?? A simple thread regarding Pro Evo formations being turned into a FIFA love-in.
