Best Ronaldo (Brazilian one) compilation ever...

Ronaldo had such mad skills.

Appropriate that he's now the top scorer in World Cup history.

best player of my generation, BAR NONE

Although it has to be said, he was never quite as good as when he played for Barcelona

im not joking when i say i would have given my right testicle to see him playing for United. Best CF of his generation by miles

In terms of raw "do-it-yourself" brilliance? Sure... In terms of overall footballing ability and achievement and such, I'd rate Zidane ahead of him... You might not agree but BAR NONE seems a bit heavy-handed, to me ;)

At his best, he was in the Maradona and Pele bracket. I feel honoured to have seen him live, even if it was against us.
Before he got injured, it was getting to the point where a one on one for him was against 2 players and the keeper.
Quite easily the best player since Maradona and it's a shame that his career has deteriorated. His incredible finishing prowess is still noticeable, however.

The Ronaldo before the injuries was on track to utterly dominate world football. As brilliant as Zidane was, he isn't on the same page as what Ronaldo was on the way to being.

It's been a while since I've seen players rounding the keeper with ease like Ronaldo. Brilliant player, complete striker at his best.

My Favourite Player since I was a kid. The guy was fecking immense. His Barca days we rediculous he made fecking mince meat of defences. Best striker of his generation with ease possibly the best player of his generation aswel

Yes.

Pre 98 WC(actually including the WC) he was immense. Had the lot, pace, power, acceleration and fast feet.

The man could just make goals out of nothing. The one in the first compilation where he starts off at the half way line and he has at least 3 players fighting against him for the ball and he just keeps going and cuts inside to finish is fecking rediculous. Drag backs, feints and a cool head he had the full package

Our Ronaldo's copied a few of his skills. The move where he knocks into space with behind his other leg(no idea what it's called) and step overs in particular(yes, I know Fat Ron didn't invent them). Amazing thing about Ronaldo, was the amount of times he'd round keeper, most strikers haven't the skill or confidence to dribble past keepers.

Recall PSV buying him. He was 17, I think. . .they paid £4m, which was a staggering amount for a kid. 'PSV have bought the new Pele' - Yeah, yeah, is what most where thinking.

True but dont make the mistake of comparing potential to realisation of talent.

Zidane got to a level that makes him in my eyes the best player of my lifetime.

Had ronaldo continued in the same vein as when he emerged he would have not only been the best striker but as you suggest up there with pele and maradona..the sad truth is he didnt...yet stil achieved outstanding levels of performance and success.

But you have to say zizou was the master.

Zizou was just beautiful to watch such a smooth touch of the ball it was like it was glued to his foot

True. Zidane was a great footballer, one of the greatest ever and imo the best of that generation. But Ronaldo was fantastic, obviously, one of the greatest strikers

It was amazing how Zidane, someone not gifted with pace, could leave players for dead the way he could.

His dribbling technique was quite something.

No.. You're right.. they were on different pages... Ronaldo was the incredibly autonomous dribbler who nobody could defend against... Zidane at his best has been World Class for 10 years and dominating games in a completely different way... Zidane's consistency nudges it, for me... Ronaldo wouldn't have made more of an impact on world football without injuries, there's only so much one man can do... Zizou affected the entire teams he played on.

Zizou, a few years Ronaldo's senior, I believe (?), was THE player of the World Cup, IMO... The way he could toy around with Brazil and Spain... and that chipped penalty against Buffon... Heroes of old and new, Ronaldo and Kaka, both fell victim to Zidane's delightful touch in a quarter final.

A man, a bit after his peak, showing that brains and touch will beat power and speed any day... feck me, I miss him so much :(

Ronaldo is the greatest player the modern football has seen, Zizou was magical at times but too inconsistent compared to the Phenomeno.

IMO

Ronaldo (at Barcelona) >>>>>>>>>> Zidane

Both geniuses, but Ronaldo was better

I feel priveleged to say I was at the game when he battered us with that hat-trick. Anyone with any sort of football appriciation would have applauded him.

That is just unplayable. Sensational

IN TRUTH THE DEFENDING FOR ALL 3 GOALS IS TOTALLY SHOCKING. bet fergie read the riot act about that.

1) Keeper should not have been beaten at near post.

2) the tracking of carlos' run and or passing on of that duty is woeful. The game between fullback and center back was too great

3) jesus...more space please..back off back off..how not to defend.
